Previously lah bro ... now my cam is just collecting dust .. hahaha ... For sports fotography, an f2.8 lens is definitely impt.. U can browse clubsnap forum for 2nd hand lenses. Some of the forummers there really sell their things cheap.. I believe urs is a Canon cam due to u mentioning u using an 'EF-S' lens .. a 2nd hand 70-200mm f2.8 lens can cost in the region of abt $2k, plus minus lah...

 

Maybe u can use the money u receive from selling the pix u took to fund ur lens upgrade .. Another good lens upgrade would be the 50mm f1.8 prime lens.. ITs not as expensive and its in the region of $500 brand new.. It'll be great for pix in the paddock as well as for pix taken on the front straight.. If u plan to take wedding pix, dis lens will be ur baby n u'll sure love it..

 

Another advise .. If u r really using Canon cam, pls try ur best to purchase Canon lenses.. Canon lenses gives u the best colours thus it would be a waste if u purchase third party lenses such as Sigma, Tamron, etc.. Sigma lenses also at times have problems wif Canon's interface. I sincerely regrestted buyinh 3rd party lenses previously..

 

All these are my personal views and experiences... If I'm wrong, kindly forgive me...
