The CBR1000RR8's widest part got to be on the fairing where the engine is, so don't expect it to be any slimmer cross section to the CBR600RR7.

The seating position is as follows:

1. Narrower around the thigh, but seating is higher off the ground

2. Handle bar feels nearer

3. Footrest is higher

4. Overall feel when sitting is more race-like and compact, making all previous Blades feels like a street machine.

When lifting up the new 2008 Blade from its side stand, weight feels like about the same but very compact center mass.

Cable operated clutch is very light action, very good if you are a trackie addict. or when you are caught in a traffic jam.

Is Little Red Riding Hood going to be the 1st to put one on the Road, like on all previous CBR1000RRs, 2004, 2006.

Life is short, ride hard

hello got some news to share from japan n usa honda, not sure is it coming singapore anot...

here's a recall for a 06-07 CBR1000RR

SERVICE ACTION NOTICE

AFFECTED UNITS: All 2006-2007 CBR1000RR Motorcycles

American Honda is conducting a SERVICE ACTION on affected models per the description above. The action will correct a problem that may exist in the brazed portion of the air vent pipe in the bottom of the fuel tank of 2006-2007 CBR1000RR motorcycles. In limited circumstances cracking could occur due to fatigue, resulting in fuel leakage.

Effective immediately YOU MUST NOT SELL any affected model in your inventory until the required repair has been completed

good luck dude...

vrooooom, another round, never slow down

Knock'em down in .01 seconds

Let's leave our mark here and disappear to the next group

The loser's left crawling on the ground in a cloud of dust

The wannabes are all talk, They just get in the way so let's ignore'em

We takes off, beyond the street

Only den they'll know!

Thanks, that's good info. If ALL units are affected, I guess SG will have recall as well.

Wah seems like almost new models that came out in the recent years have got recall..

With so many small parts making up a huge and complex machine, we would be delusional to think there is no fault with any bikes.

I guess with tougher regulations, manufacturers are owning up even more so now compared to the past. There could be many reasons, but this is just one way of looking at it.

Just got back from KL this morning, nearly witness an accident right before my eyes, an Optimus Prime type trailer swerved to the right to overtake another vehicle without signaling, a Honda City was on that right lane behind the trailer, the driver had to jam brake, but he couldn't stop in time so he swerved to the left shoulder to avoid hitting the trailer, but then he swerved back to the right to avoid running off the left shoulder, and for awhile, if I may, it was experiencing a car's version of tankslapping, doing a series of left and right violent turns, almost to the point of flipping over everytime it turned abruptly.

Luckily the drive was able to recover and he stopped at the road shoulder to take a breather. That was at Pagoh this morning.

I caught up to the trailer and scolded Optimus Prime by giving the inverted Snake in Eagle's Shadow palm.

But when I saw the driver of the trailer, he is just a clueless frail old man, anger subsided just as soon as it erupted.

We just have to be alert and look after ourselves on the road.

That doesn't look like Hayden nor Pedrosa, must be some test rider from the team.

It's a pity that Honda lost WSB champion James Toseland to Tech 3 Yamaha, I would certainly like to see him riding a RC212V next year, maybe replacing Nicky Hayden, heh.

Congrats to Ronald McDonald on his new ride.

Let's go for some "stir fry" tomorrow in JB if the weather is good. 8pm GP Esso dudes.
