jackie chan...

looks like they want to go into the chinese market...

Haha, No lah, Jackie Chan is very popular in India too, just like Bruce Lee. I grew up watching his movies and he created an image that we used to think all chinese are martial arts specialists, females too :) This ad is quite old and I remember watching it on TV and used to very proud that he is endorsing the bike.

On another topic, lost my passport and EP card. I realise it just ust the night before I go on a schedule touring trip to MY, of course.

I've spent hours looking for it, but I can't find it. It had all my stamps from the touring trip I did with Shadow, and other memorable trips I had the chance to do.

Sometimes I wonder why God even bothered to give me a brain, I always loose things, forget things, it's like my skull is empty inside.

The most frustrating thing is that I have no certain memory of where I saw it last, or held it last, it's just fuzzy. And I can't remember when I used it last.

Anyway, sorry, need to vent..

I can understand how you feel. I felt exactly the same way, when my passport got wet because on a rainy day I put the passport in my raincoat pocket which already had some water in it .

I hope you find the passport especially for the sake of the stamps. But otherwise, just get a new one no choice, and in case its hard to remember where you kept it, make sure, you put all things in one place like a large drawer or something. I am very clumsy with stuff, so thats what I do. Even if it gets lost it is lost only within a limited area. And also, try not to accumulate stuff overtime, I know its easier said than done, but regularly just clear out stuff or put them in the storeroom or something.

Heh, thanks for the kind words. Thing is, I should learn my lesson and put the damn thing under lock. I often need it with me, you know how it is, whenever you have to do any admin stuff the EP card is not enough, only the passport has value. And since I've been needing it quite often these past few months to settle my company paperwork, I started carrying it around again.

My sis says if I lost it outside in the street someone should bring it back to the embassy or the SG authorities and they might call me. But it hasn't happened so now I wonder if I haven't thrown it away with other things without noticing. Unlikely but you start doubting everything and coming up with all sorts of scenarios once you've left no stones unturned in the house...

I am just thinking, this guy does with bikes he is a small fish. Imagine people doing with cars. They are sharks! They would probably make 10k per car sale. But I am sure there will be lots of people doing it for cars.

For bikes, somehow Iceman enjoys total monopoly.:)

I can share that Piaggio X8 has the biggest storage space compaired to X9 for 2B rides, the maintaince is pretty high due to the fact your spare parts are from Piaggio.

MP3 Is another awesome ride, hehe... if wan a bike like a car, MP3 is the one who can do e Job =)

Thanks for the feedback bro will tell my friend abt it

Looks like more and more people are moving towards scooters. My Office carpark too I see more of those giant scooters; mostly X8/x9,GTS200 and 1 Benelli adiva(lady rider)

The original rear box on the X8/X9 is really huge and looks like a UFO shuttle

More n more people are riding big scooters nowsday, there are 4-5 of them below my office car park.

I had the XCD for awhile. few months in fact. Good FC @ 55km/L

In terms of storage, Adiva Benelli and X9 is huge.

In terms of pick up, X9 is good.

In terms of riding comfort, Mp3 is good

In terms of simple commuter bikes, Vespa Excel & Kymco Super 8 is good.

In terms of good FC, Vespa Excel and Sym Joyride RV180 is good.

thanks mobil, how about after market spare part for those scooters u ride ? which u still prefer overall for 2B big scoot ?

Quoted from another thread, recent testimonial from a fellow rider:

I got my TCX Jupiter from Chiap lee few months back. Last week it just saved my ankle!!i lorry just came out of nowhere and I ended up hitting him sideways. Left leg obviously sandwiched between the lorry and my bike. If not for the boots doctor said I'm In a cast instead of a bandage

now. Use to think that 200 for a boot is expensive, after last Thursday, I'm saying otherwise.

Ride safe people!!

Parts for all except Adiva is okay. Old Benelli using Italian engine. new Adiva using Sym.

For maxi-scooter, if u want cheaper maintenance, get a Sym gts200.

My personal favorite is still piaggio x9. As its quirks and horrid carb design problem. But as I always say, riding has to put a smile on your face, this does it for me. Big boot space and responsive engine.

Another personal favorite is the Vespa Excel. 2 stroke but nice gurgle in the exhaust and cheap maintenance. Just make sure you check the bodywork before buying. Rust can be a problem, also make sure the panels are all straight.

U guys know where can i find cheap pulsar at least ug3 thst is below 2800? please help me out. thanks!

No we don't, cause we don't keep track, sometimes we hear about a Pulsar being sold by a shop, sometimes we find online ads, and we share here, if nothing is shared it means no one has seen or heard of one.

You can look here:

- garage sale section

- sgbikemart

- gumtree classifieds

- any local singapore classifieds website

- ask UM

Why do you want an UG3 specifically ?
