Planning a day trip on a Sunday to Nanas., animal sanctuary for abandoned dogs and cats. Retired race horses are placed there too. Will be after mid July. Animal lovers will be pleased to see plentiful dogs running freely in vast greenery.

I will most probably be going if the trip materialise.

If you have no respect for animals, is ok. At least respect the one trying to organise an animal welfare outing for animal lovers You wanna eat whatever you can , go to that other country that you deem fit to practice such things.

yes, nothing wrong, the third world is eating barks from trees too, why aren't you eating it?

 

where are we now? if you havent get back here, read here *Wave* we are in. SINGAPORE. so wad if other countries are eating it? yes, it maybe a delicacy to them, since those countries are poor, cant afford those processed meat sold in market, of cos they have to hunt on their own.

we have shirl making an effort to organise a meaningful event to contribute to animal welfare causes. applauds to that.

 

on the other hand, some of you are making mockery of this effort. are you doing anything better than that? if you have no constructive suggestions to contribute, i suggest you keep those morbid thoughts to yourself.

 

some of the animals there have been through lots of **** due to human negligence and cruelty. let's appreciate and respect them for having come through those and now able to live their final years in freedom and peace.

 

if animals are deemed merely as food to you, i guess you are not welcome at NANAS.

 

if there is nothing decent to say, just don't say. respect this cause, please. it's really inappropriate to talk about having dog meat, cat meat, horse meat etc in response to this.

BUT if u look at the bigger picture. these things are happening somewhere in the world, its a fact we're saying. it just doesnt applies to to the place ur visiting, i know. and its not tt i dont love animals, i find them cute and loving also okay!

it may seem like a harmless joke/fact to them but they must realise that they are posting in a public forum.. no doubt, it's a public forum and everyone is entitled to their thoughts and such. but such things IMO should be kept to oneself.

 

 

 

Shirl, for your effort in organising this.. but i won't be able to make it.. got many things to prepare before i enlist.. will join you for other outings in the future! just love the way you guys organise outings. everyone is well informed and no one is left behind. :thumb:

I would say that the comment by Hunter is wrong but maybe he didnt mean it. Maybe its a bad joke.

 

Also, Shirl took up the responsibility to organise a trip FOR US and i feel we should really appreciate it... At least i know i do. Not everyone is willing to sacrifice their personal time to organise, keep track, recce and arrange things. So i really admire her and other organisers for being selfless in this aspect. :cheer:

 

It's only normal that when people sees Hunter's post, they get angry but lets hope everything will work out fine.

 

We already have very little outings and we cannot give the organiser (Shirl) such an easy reason to back out right?

 

Btw, im not a total animal lover but i really like dogs alot!!

if u jus do normal servicing jus go any motordiam nearby but rmb to stay there and watch them do it n be smart to prevent them from conning u esp if u hav a P plate on ur bike ..

not too sure abt yishun... but used to go to this shop at amk industrial park A i think... its further up from amk ite along amk ave 5.. shop name is speedy motors.. u shuld be able to find their address around... usually tightening of chain is FOC if u do some servicing there...

no offence to any other motordiam supporter...but i think spending abit more time and distance to a proper and well known motordiam to repair will be the best choice. rather u waste some time and petrol 1 time den later more prblm u have to waste more.
