Here goes...

Just changed battery (yuasa 7A) and rectifier ytd, wired up a dynamax voltmeter and here are my findings....

 

On the move RPM 6

MAX Voltage headlights on = 12.5V

headlights off = 13.2V

 

Idle @ RPM 1

Max headlights off = 12.0V

headlights on = 11.7V

 

Readings will reduce by 0.2V if signals were on at any set-up...

 

 

The question now is... is everything ok? it seems that the voltage is not at the optimum, what else cld be the cause?

 

Use another reliable Digital voltmeter to check again. Your dynamax voltmeter may not be accurate. Normally, at 1.5k rpm, the voltage should be about 14 volts with headlights on. Otherwise, there's something wrong with your charging circuit and/or alternator coil.

hai guys..nd help here bout fuel comp.. normally 4 spec3 how many click/milage going to reserve? mind wen gg to 200 click reserve oredy..izzit normal??

performance wise not much diff la... "top end better mid range better" is only slight difference between all pipe.

 

im using Moriwaki and im having alot of vibrations on my handlebar... dunno whether its caused by the pipe or not but when vtec open the sound quite nice la...

 

but base-sy sound still shiok for Micron. and Almost bought Yoshi coz of the hissing sound when u accelerate. Leovince and GRP is those type u can wake up the whole neighbourhood. which is not that good when u want to sneak out in the middle of the night. later ur gf hear how...

bro i suggest u park that bike take public transport! ahha... sounds to me like u're riding a Jaguar

 

 

i think normal shud be 300+km den reserve... those with aftermarket products slightly less but that one also maybe lowest 250km.

 

ur bike got alot of aftermarket stuff ah???

can someone tell me where to buy "reflective arrow stickers" that will stick on mat surface?? and how much roughly they cost??

[A] Reflective stickers can stick on Matt Givi Boxes..

to play safe, ensure that shops uses 3M reflective stickers for better adhesiveness..

i suggest take out box to clean yourself..

that's what i normally do..

dun let them use the high pressure hoses to jet the boxes..

my coolant seems to be leaking, after a few days of using the reservoir is empty so i will top up again. any one haf this problem b4 and hw much estimate to rectify the problem?

 

could it most likely be the coolant hose that is not tightened or leaking? anyone change to aftermarket better coolant hoses? so far i know of samco ones sold by uniqe but the price is quite ex ard 500-- bux ryte.

i had the same problem last month. from west side till central my temp light up already. before this everytime i park my bike the coolant will leak out... den i check my reservoir empty also.....

 

could be ur the radiator seal, hose.... but for mine...

 

WATER PUMP SPOIL!!!!

 

 

got it fixed at HKL... i think $160... NOW NO MORE URINE LEAKAGE! i mean COOLANT LEAKAGE!

 

but now my I.U. is spoilt... sigh... anybody got spare??

reflective stickers are more sticky then normal stickers...

[Q] anyone had trouble on handle bar lock ?

 

sometimes, it's very difficult to handle lock my bike.

 

it's vtec1, so have to push in the key and turn left but very hard to turn the key.

unlocking and ignition (turning the key right) is no issue...

 

 

i've used lubricants to spary inside key assembly already but problem still persists (i've used GT85 and chain lube)
