wah a lady rider..for me ah..i send my bike to servide oredy..after usage of three month..coz of my stupidity..sudden whack my throttle till rpm reached 8-9rpm..all because of wanting to chase a lady rider..hahaks..i use 4t shell engine oil and 2t i use esso extra 2t..2t can last for at least 1 month..

Hey ppl, sorry if i come in this thread again... Jus wanna noe... If we r buyin a 2nd hand kr from d shop/forumer... wat r d things i need to look out for? Im riding a 4 stroke bike.. so i dun really noe much abt testing a 2 stroke bike... hmmmm.. can any kind souls help?

 

If u're planning to get from either a forumer or shop, it's advisable to bring someone who has ample knowledge on it.. That's e best i can say..

Initially I wanted to get Aprilia... But kena screw from Bike shop owner, talked to me until I myself scared to get my dream bike...

 

So I will be settling for a KR... Hmmm... Can advise me what to look out for when getting 2nd hand? What is it's biggest problem so far? What needs regular servicing without fail? How often do I need to send for servicing? How much is the expence range per month?

Riding a KR is e same as riding an Aprilia.. Except for e expenses that is.. Anyways, for ur 1st ques do refer to my reply for Ladyrider.. Servicing wise, it's up to u.. E reason for this is others may do normal servicing either 3 months or 5.. Full servicing 6 months or 1 year.. To think about it, it all boils down on how hard/soft u ride it.. My best advise for buying 2nd hand bike, bring it down for full sevicing at ur most trusted shop right after buying it.. U'll never know what lies beneath..

U can even bring KR to dirt track.. No worries..

U can whack till rpm 8-9 or even higher.. Just don't drag it too long.. Oh.. Beware of e redline though..

It depends on whether you abuse the bike or not..Its a pretty durable bike..

 

wah....nowadays insurance so ex uh....2A bike only $387 for insurance

every mth i change my engine oil,plugs,etc..

i use motul 510 4t/castrol 4t(full synthetic) + silkolene racing 2t

Every month change EO is overkill..It is afterall still a 2 stroke bike..If you get what I mean..

That time I asked about insurance killed me sia... NTUC quote me uh.. Maybe other insurance company not so expensive i dunno..

 

This is what they quote me:

 

First hand not fully paid: $4257.28

First hand fully paid: $1305.05

Second hand fully paid: $837.69

Comprehensive if I'm not wrong is 1st party..Meanin you hit people..You drop bike yourself also can claim..Definitely will be very expensive..

 

The most shop will ask you to get is TPFT which is 2nd party..If you're still under hire purchase..If pay full cash you can get 3rd party only on your very own..For those above 21 can try AXA..

AXA is relatively cheaper than e others from my point of view.. Hit 'em up at 1800-8804741.. A word of advise.. Be mentally prepared for their "customer service"..
