Thanks for the idea. AND THANKS ALOT FOR THE REPLIES guys...

Maybe there is hope for appeal if i do get caught One thing for sure I didnt beat a red traffic light through speeding as what most offenders do. I was just alerted by a horn that made me taught I can go.

Btw, today is the the 4th day and still nothing on the net nor my mailbox. Still praying though. But I got something instead, ERP FINES! -.-

One final question, after reading a lot from the net regarding the camera, is it built just to catch vehicles beating the amber/red light and inching out too far till it block the pedestrian line?

P.S.I know how to open the front seat already. ty :D

the camera is there to capture those who SPEED past the line..

The reason for 3 shoots in fast snapping is because they can see your speed with that 3 snaps.. imagine you snap a person with 3 photos, if he is slowing down, you can see that he slowed down, if he's speeding.. you can see he's getting very far apart on the 3 photos.. Got it? :)

Amber light will not snap.. Red light on for 0.5 seconds den snap.. and your speed has to be estimated 15km/h and above to snap.. if 1~10 should be safe.. I tried one time.. slowly ride up pavement because urgent call.. den I look back, shii! got camera.. but no flash.. ok lah.. ignore it.. up to date, 2 years liaoz.. no letter.. :p

Kindly read thru at least the intro section first before decide to post any comments.... thanks...

appeal. if got valid reasons. most probably can pass. say to avoid accident. and its heavy traffic. i'm sure you have more creativity than me.

can ride with 0 points too. most probably is get suspended first and not revoke.

jus to add.

u can never expect any form of sympanthy in tp hq when u beat red light.

they will ask why did u beat red light.

to whatever reach u say , eg, scared wheel lock ,or brakes not working

then their second question will be

so u were speeding

Don't rely on bike shop too much. As in anything also go down shop settle. You will just be a walking carrot to them. See you happy like ****. Try to slowly learn yourself.

Just me 2cents bro. Used to be p plate and ride kr many years back too.. have fun and ride safe..

OOOH. Thanks for the recommendation. Just came back from HENGMOTOR at Changi....no worries, I have been going to the shop quite frequently and I think they can be trusted too :D

@Barnabas

Yeah, I tot Mine was too loud too! and the exhaust emission was too much. But after inspection from the shop just now, they say its still normal.

From my 'noob' point of view, I think its still normal. Yeah maybe u know ur bike better :D

An air box with or without a filter & Open pod air filter, these 2 type you mean?

I prefer air box with filter, to prevent other dust and contaminants from entering the carb and combustion chamber.

Open pod type might be clogged if kena water and A/F ratio might go haywired due to the huge amount of air entering at certain RPM.

bro, stock airbox serves 2 purpose, 1 is to reduce particles in air from damaging your internal in the long run, 2 is to regulate the percentage of air to the amount of fuel needed in certain rpm.

open air system change the power band to higher but you lose some in low rpm plus you are risking piston seizure due to the lean setting (not enough fuel).

open air system is good but you have to understand the bike need many others mod to be done before the open air system can fully supported. Purely changing stock to open does not in anyway increase your bike horsepower.

*pls contact adesmond for more information*

just my $0.02 cents :)

bro don't fred about it too much. You mentioned you was on the extremely left lane and you turned left. Normally red light camera are activate by the censor box after the stop light. You can actually see few boxes line. And in the norms, the extremely left lane close to the double yellow line have some gap before it activate the camera. So hope you are lucky. and btw the deadly triple mf-er flash is so horrible that you might see your life flashback when it hit you so its really quite hard to miss it. Of course unless the flash are down. :)

wishing you the best bro.

cheers

Hey haoKR thanks of the reply. I have friends riding kr too and they say the same thing also. But so far no problem but of cos i take precautions like cover bike and i don't ride in the rain unless really bobian.

SparkerS1 yup i'm refering to open pod. Forgot to add on one of my friend mention its illegal but inspection pass so no issue right. In that case would cleaning it regularly help? and is it it true that having it would somewhat give the bike lesser restriction so better performance in that case? Thats what i was told initially thats why i tried.

.BlackSun. hey bro. Yes like what you said my bike does feel very dull when moving off. Takes more throttle compared to my other friends bikes. Setting wise i did send to shop. So far so good since about july i've been using it and i would say i kinda whack the bike quite alot but piston never jam or anything so would i be correct to say that setting wise it should be ok? And my bike isnt stock. Mods done are usual. Like porting, empty stomach etc. Powerwise i think abit of difference maybe, but isn't really significant. Sorry not trying to kpkb like my bike no problem then still ask so much kinda thing but what bugs me is majority or rather all the kr i see on the road do have air box so..... Abit curious to know the opinions from more experience people. And another thing i would like to know. what's the smallest sprocket i can put without stressing the bike. Currently using 38 if i'm not wrong. i travel alot on the highway so having a smaller sprocket would some what give me better fuel consumption right? Thanks for the help.

Actually it depends on very much how u gonna ride the bike. I have used both setus and it's different for both setting. First u got to understand that it's not as easy as take of air box put in air filter and u are done. If u change to an air filter u need to do carb jetting accordingly. The reason being more air into ur carb for the same amount of petrol. If u dun jet it. U will notice the following. Sound louder which is actually induction noise. Bike will be a little more heatier as the mixture is now lean. Top speed will actually be higher with a lean setting. Pickup might sound boggy. But bike response would be more sensitive. Now the bad your power becomes concentrated. To a small powerband. What happened to me was moving of stammer a bit but once around 4k rpm there. Bike starts being powerful and open valve even more power. Super shiok when whacking with my friends riding and chasing. But daily use hard as u dont whack that high rev so often. It's quite hard for rain or water to go on as the bike angle is such. And rain doesn't aim for your carb when raining. City riding it isn't really that gd unless u always whacking. Track use I have even run without any filter at all. Super shiok. Also changing the air filter n rejetting alone is useless. The extra air can't come out of standard exhaust. Go 'cut' your exhaust first. Then do some porting, chamfering, squish band adjustment, get Japan Cdi, then get filter, change sprocket combo and then my friend you will have a pocket rocket.

Also what u said about bike being boggy is what I meant actually u can try having a lower pilot jet which would help with the pick up. Highway 15 39 or 38 would be gd for fc on highway but street a lil hard since u say ur pick up already boggy. But then if u comfortable or ok then by all means.

for sprocket issue. There are 2 type as well. If you are more concerned about fc then yes, you should drop your rear sprocket. Smaller rear give more distance but you lose accel. So its only advisable to drop the rear to what your bike can push. Instead of dropping it too much and turn out you actually need to throttle more than what is needed.

Posted

If you are more concerned about have a balanced combination. You will have to try a few. A good combination = on gear 5, your bike should be able to push up to 10.5k rpm min(some can reach higher till 13rpm) and when you shift to gear 6 you should still be increasing the rpm. Instead of getting struck at a certain rpm.

of course there are insane rider around playing with ktm pickup style. And those pilot riders who love insane top end they can drag forever. There is no prefect combination. Only a combination which suits your own style. :)

just my opinion

cheers
