Nola.im using single seater.. N caught by tp n lta few time...only summon me my visor...n i also ask about one seater n they it ok no pillion...if gt pillon u need to change to normal seat...

 

seriously? have you ever you send your bike for inspection manually?

If the LTA officer lets you off with a single seater, it does not means that it is legal to use it. Once u are in for LTA inspection, they will show u a catalog of the original bike and compare with your single seater version. What is legal according to LTA is the original parts and body structure as indicated by the catalog. Do check again brothers, I do not wish to mislead anyone in here to believe that its OK just because the TPs and LTAs officers decided to close one eye.

That's what i thought so too. Maybe the TP close one eye because he summon your tinted visor. If there's nothing else for him to summon, he'll summon the single seater. Who knows? Afterall, they have the authority to do all this.

 

Anyways, any of you guys using aftermarket reeds?

Any comments?

I need help with my kr,my spark plug got oil in it just after i change it,what may be the cause of it??

 

1) Mech's hand oily

2) Oil leaking from fuel tank

3) Rain too huge and water get it..

U didn't specify which end of spark plus.

If its the spark end then it's probably your 2t cause your setting high. If its on the connector side then should be mech hand oily or got grease.

Bro adesmond2. I was thinking of organizing a gathering cum workshop. You know like all come down. Bring tools then Teach them how to wash carb or simple repairs. Like anyone got problem can teach one another. Share diagnostic tips.

Hey guys.. I nid help!!! When i riding my kr at gear 3 there is scratching sound.. Gear 6 ado got very hollow sound.. The other gears is perfectly alright.. Any idea whats the cause? Is it gearbox spoil? Can it be fix? Orgearbox mus change? Thanks guys.. Any know can msg me at 83831404 cus i very seldom surf this forum..

another problem came up again.. when i drag gear when entering expressway about 9rpm.. my bike suddenly jerk.. and after i exit the expressway.. my gear cannot change.. so i ride all the way into my carpark and kick my gear down with my foot real hard den it change to neutral.. after tt starts to have a ringing sound and my chain was vibrating.. i hold onto my chain and the ringing sound still goes on? realli nid help.. cus rode this kr for a year and alot of problems starts coming liao..

You might have a mechanical issue with your gearbox,piston and block. Have it open up for a precise check of the damages occur.

Spark plug got oil? Which part? The holding area or tip of firing pin? Usually its the mechanic hands for the holding areas or a rare issue, unburned 2T on the firing tip area.

I'll split up your questions so that it's easier for me to answer..

 

1) gear 3 there is scratching sound.. Gear 6 ado got very hollow sound

 

- Scratching sound really need to hear myself before I know, Hollow sound = high possibilities that your gear 6 is damaged, need to overhaul to resolve this issue.. worse to worse, cannot use gear 6.

 

2) drag gear when entering expressway about 9rpm.. my bike suddenly jerk.. and after i exit the expressway.. my gear cannot change

 

- bike jerk = high possibilities that your bike open valve OR Piston jam.. As for the gear cannot change, it's might be the gearbox problem..

 

3) after tt starts to have a ringing sound and my chain was vibrating.. i hold onto my chain and the ringing sound still goes on?

 

- this I need more information, do you mean bike is started but not moving and have a ringing sound? If yes. then it's confirm piston jam..

- If it's moving and so on, need to listen personally to give more accurate advise.. :)

Yup.. Need to overhaul and change at least 2 gears - 3 and 6.

 

if piston jam means need to change block and piston and piston ring..

 

Total price if all brand new

 

gear = $160 each gears = S$320

 

New block estimated S$350, piston estimated S$85 inclusive of ring = S$435

 

Total: S$755 excluding workmanship/EO/Coolant/Spark Plug and etc..

 

Of cuz.. Malaysia is cheaper but remember to use original parts (not local parts)..

 

Gears/block/piston need original because you dun wan to open them every 6 months.. :)

Wa.. Thanks for the break down price.. Nxt month saf allowance aso not enough.. I wont be doing in jb cus my bike is alr in the bike shop.. Still waiting for the mech to msg me the problems and quote me a price... Anyway.. My bike coe expire 17nxt month.. Im thinking of renewing 5yrs and insurance is 1.1k.. Plus overhaul 800 total will be like 2.9k. Is it better to get a 2nd hand 07/08 gilera st200? Anyone knows gilera runner's insurance price roughly hw much? Ntuc income cus im 19 this year.. Much thanks for ur tips

haha.. dun regret giving up your 2 stroke and get a 4 stroke..

 

If you tested a 4 stroke den you will get what I mean.. Pick up power.. But when you are at 100km/h, you need more power from 4 stroke = hard.. 2 stroke = easy.. Drop gear and you are "out of danger".. :)

 

Reason for saying that, my friend scrap his KRR for a 4 stroke.. Now regretted because he cannot get the power he needed and his new bike, accident 2 times already..

Another change to scramble and regret badly.. now upgrade to CBR400 liaoz.. haha..

 

Normally, I would recommend renew 10 years if you going to overhaul.. because you will get a trust worthy bike for the few years.. :)

 

*resell it after 5 years also will get a better value compared to a COE that's dying and cannot renew.. :)

 

If really budget tight.. get all 2nd hand one.. will get it half the price.. :) BUT.. Please get your bike shop to give you a black and white that those parts will last you at least 2 weeks to 1 month.. else you will really vomit blood.

 

Heard of incident where they gotten the bike worse condition before pushing into bike shop..

 

Because gears are all link so they lazy to take out and one shot change together.. in the end, instead of gear 3 and 6, maybe your gear 2,4,5 got problem that kind.. :)

I need help,why is it when in neutral gear,i try to rev my bike fully when it comes to high rpm like 7..the bike tend to go like off..i mean like power failure,but the bike is still on,its just that can see it tend to on off

Piston ceased... Or wiring contact loose... Or metal coil problem... Or rectifier problem...
