Hey guys.

I have some problem and I try my best to explain.

During riding, my rev increases on its own when I close my throttle. Meaning, my bike will accelerate like nobody business with my right hand waving lol. To counter back, I have to brake and open throttle a bit, then it will be back to normal. Very dangerous.

I recently serviced my carb and replaced new throttle cable. And installed balancer.

Any form of advice is much appreciated. Thanks guys. I love my krr so much.

Anyone knows how much a pair of Battlax Bt39 tyres would cost in Malaysia?

Just checked with Planet Motor here, boss quoted me $60 per tyre. Rear is 110 70.

Wanna get a sensing if it would be cheaper to change in Malaysia.

I usually goes to Planet, because I think Uncle Chong usually quote quite reasonably.

Malaysia should be cheaper due to the exchange rates, but I never went in before.

Do share your experience if you go in.

hi newbie kr rider here, just got a kr recently. my meter seems to be broken, the speedo is showing around 20-30km lesser than the actual speed, and the fuel meter is like spoilt also. rpm seems fine though. any idea whats wrong? or how much does it cost to change the whole meter set?

yea, got it checked at bike shop, mechanic told me the meter is fine, is actually one part in the wheel bearing, cannot bite until 100%, thats why speedo not accurate.

but one more major thing need to ask. today my engine died twice.

once is when i going uphill making a turn, switching from gear 2 to 1, then bike suddenly die off. then tried starting again, can start in neutral, but gear one, die when moving off twice. 3rd time somehow manage to move off.

2nd time almost **** myself. on highway, needed to brake, should be at around gear 5 drop to 4. bike suddenly die, then wobbling, but when release clutch, engine came back.

any idea what the problem is? something wrong with my gear or?

Check your petrol switch filter.

When engine stall try to unplug fuel hose see petrol flow or not.

Happened to me last time, cukprit is filter so petrol supply disturbed and engine stall when u throttle

Just clean it and its normal again. Common issue

Guys, i have few questions to ask.

yesterday night on the way back from work my bike was acting as if it was running out of petrol and it seem to have lost of power. after few seconds the engine turned off and i went to the road shoulder to look at the problem but to no avail. then today i get it towed to my place as i sense its not smtg big of an issue as i suspect smtg to do with the coil etc. When i tried to turn on my bike, everything works fine in terms of signal, horn etc just that i cant seem to get the engine on. Tried kickstarting few times but couldnt get it on. First time encounter this problem. Could it be the cause of a foul coil that resulted in this? anyone faced this issue before. TIA.

Check whether petrol can flow to carb.

Check spark plug got spark or not.

Hi,

If my engine block is worn out as claimed by the mechanic, and that because of this even if i do a top overhaul it will not make a lot of difference because there is already some "space" between the engine block and the piston moving up and down,

Is there anything else i can do apart from buy a new engine block?

By any chance is there some kind of thing i can apply on the outside of piston to fill the "gap" in the engine block as the piston is moving up and down?

You can re do the inner side but not worth effort and risk.

Doesn't sounds like engine block to me.. Block will get worn off after 5-8 years.. Then need to change..

The main problem is carb.. Most likely not enough petrol..

Need more information like

what RPM are you when this problem occurs? If RPM 5-6 then sounds like something serious.. If it's RPM8-9.. Carb not enough petrol.. Just do some adjustment will do..

& for the piston to fill up the "gap", No ways other then a new block.. You don't want to spend a whole lot of money then get a piston jam at the end of the day..

How did the mech told you that it's engine worn out? (just curious) haha..

Just remember to change piston & piston ring every 2-3 years.. at the same time, check your block.. 80% will not be able to know if your block gone case.. Unless your engine is coming out with tons of tons of tons of metal against metal sound.. Not normal piston sound.. Need to use another KR to compare then you will get what I'm saying.. :)

Used to have gathering but now, everything is just buy/sell stuff.. hahaha.. we have FB page also.. wahahahaha..
