Another bonus question is, so far are there any Indon coverset users who have passed inspection before? Hehe. Coz I've been eyeing it for almost a year already.

Hey guys, question here. Is it normal that my bike has no visible exhaust(smoke)? Even when start up there is very minimal smoke. I can still feel air coming out, but there is zero smoke.

Just worried there might be a problem cause i left the bike unused for like 4-5 days then when i use back the engine sounds different, might be just me though..

Thanks! :)

Also, im looking for kr tank in decent condition, mainly minimum rust, scratches etc are fine.

Just go get OEM(lower than ori, better than local) coversets from RXZCoverset SG from fb $350 only. can pay half, installation pay half if im not wrong

What are the spark plugs that you find suit your KR best?

So far ive only tried NGK BR8ES and BR9ES. I find that the BR8ES seems to respond much faster in all situations. i.e Idling, at high revs, even normal cruising.

The BR9ES seems to be less noisy and makes the bike vibrate a lot less. But i find it damn hard to set the idling for this spark plug. The bike keeps dying unless i set the idle near to 2k.

Anyone tried NGK Iridium? Which iridium in particular do you think is best suited for your KR?

Been using BR9ES, seems okay to me. My idling is mostly 1.5k with lights switch off. and around 1.1k - 1.2k RPM with lights switched on. Bike never dies.

- Grab On Grip covers reduce vibration and give you a softer feel, reducing hand and wrist fatigue, so you won't have that tingly feeling in your hands after a long ride.

- Grab On Grip covers allow you to ride in more comfort, especially on those long rides. PERFECT for the daily commuter, tour rider, and sport riders alike.

Features

---------

- Work with heated or standard grips.

- Save $$$, no need change the whole heater grip system which is very costly.

- Shock absorbing EPDM foam for a smoother ride.

"Once you try it, you'll LOVE it"

NOTE : Lot of customers been asking what's the difference between Grab On Grip with another brand that's selling @ $30-$35.

Ans :

- 1st of all, Grab on Grip is Made in USA while the other grip is Made in UK. So the difference in currencies. USD vs Pound Sterling

- Difference in QUALITY. No doubt both are EPDM Foam but customers that have used Grab On Grip and have tried the "other brand", eventually came back to use Grab On Grip. Customers claimed that the "other brand" became smelly after using it for awhile and it tends to slip to the balancer causing the throttle to "stuck" which is VERY DANGEROUS. They have never face this problem when using Grab On Grip. Well, expensive things doesn't mean its good.

- Some customers asked how come mine is "cheaper" than the rest ?

Ans : There's no need for me to claim i'm the "dealer/distributor" when the product i sell is 100% Genuine Made in USA.. As a biker, I wanted to share my great experience of using this product for more than 5 years at an affordable price.

Ask your friend to look at your chain during ride out.

If loose, can try ask your bike shop tightening your chain.

If not, maybe other bros or your bike shop can try to advise.

Usually tightening chain is free. (I usually do at JB, don't know if sg shop will charge you or not)

Hi all

There's a problem with my bike, from my previous post, i mention that my bike can't seem to start, it died randomly when am riding it, advice given to me is to try and wash carb and change spark plug, i just did that but still can't start

Could the rectifier (i think it's the name) that is connected to the spark plug cable could be the problem? Coz before putting in the new spark plug, I kickstart to see if got spark to see if have any but none ( could it be the problem?)

After fixing it all back i pushed start my bike, it can start for awhile but when my speed decrease, it died again.

Hope you guys can give me a rough idea on what's the problem, truly appreciate it, thanks all

Carb or coil.

Just a little update:

Previously i asked if it was cheaper to change tires in Malaysia or Singapore.

I changed back tyre at Lor Bapok at Hou Heng Motor. Battlax 110/70 for 375RM.

A few weeks later i changed front tyre at Planet for $105 SGD. Battlax also.

So factors to consider:

-Whether Msian workshop factor exchange rate (3:1 at the time) and charge me a little more coz im Singaporean. (Possible but lets give them benefit of doubt. I believe they are honest enough.)

-Whether or not the tires from either shop were older or newer stock hence cheaper or more expensive price. (Did not check with both workshops how old is the stock so i cannot weigh in this factor properly. My mistake.)

Anyway my personal conclusion is: Msia is a bit more expensive.

Anyone got other experiences with this issue? Please share!

Singapore price will be slightly better and safer.. Ah Chiong always order his battlelax just nice. He doesn't keep stocks.

Greetings riders!

have a small problem with my kr that i wish to seek your expertise.

when i open throttle then close the rpm seem to go down slower that normal. this happens both while stationary and while riding. carb cleaned about close to 2 months ago. adjusted the carb setting a couple of times get the best settings.

Bike is running well with no hesitation. good pick up, good speed.

Anyone of you can help me with this? can seem to find the solution.

thank you in advance!

Carb needle and the middle holder, not much impact, just old carb.

Hi guys

I know almost all bike shop can rebuild krr, but i'm Wondering if anyone knows a shop that can rebuild & then can pay by installments?

Thank you

Not that I'm aware.

Hi guys, having a fuel tank leak problem..

noticed a bubble in my tank like 2-3 weeks ago, just realised its a leak in my fuel tank. currently the leak is contained mostly within my paintwork, just a small hole in the paintwork that will leak if i press on the bubble.

if i dont press on the bubble, the fuel dont seem to leak out, or at least its not flowing out at a noticeable rate.

i know i have to replace my fuel tank, but a new one seems to cost like $300+? tight on cash currently..

if find a 2nd hand tank will be cheaper, but the condition wont be that good..

and replacing will need to do some painting also need $$..

any ideas i can seal up the hole? or any shop that does sealing service?

appreciate all help! thanks!

Recommended for new fuel else your tank will be rust after respraying or sealing as they need to empty your tank and wait for it to dry before they can start to seal it.

Hi once again, all.

Is it possible for me to DIY adjust the fuel intake and 2T intake to the carb? I know it is possible to adjust the idling rpm which i assume is also the air intake.

Yes, need to dissemble your carb to change all the fuel/air intakes. 2T intakes doesn't go to carb, it goes straight to block.

Yes you are able to, but there are others changes to make as well. air intake, etc.

HELLO Bro! You still here? LOL..

Can someone help, I been using KR for like 15years.

I always send I inspection myself and passed with racing footrest.

But I fail last week and the inspector refused to pass me. Changi Viacom.

Can anyone advise wat the rules now ? I hardly ride my bike.

If anyway to pass or debate, let me know watsapp 9362 3352

This LTA pissing me off...

Hi there! Vicom is not LTA. Thus only you change back to stock or go back LTA to nego (with valid reasons) until they pass your footrest. (I think they got more and more strict)

Hi guys, haha im late in the party.

Just got my license last year july, rode rxz for few months and change to KRR last month.

Anyway I understand for 2 stroke we use gear oil.

During my rxz time I normally don't take notice of what brand JB Fengsheng is using when changing oil.

Now I would like to buy my stuff first then go to the shop and request to change for me.

But what brand of gear oil is recommended?

I've read the thread and all say gear oil gear oil but not the brands, if got mentioned brand also all those motul 300v standard 4t engine oil.

I would maybe like to get MOtul Transoil Expert:

but like so hard to find in SG. Anyone know where to get in Tampines Safra or Kaki Bukit?

Can we use Maxima gear oil? if yes, which one can use?

but this one the instruction say like for bmw and Harley hahah but it also mentioned twin cylinder bikes.

or what if this one?

but like scary the grade look so high 75w and 80w respectively. the Motul one is only 10w.

however Maxima can easily be found in Mustafa ahaha since I bought the coolant which prev owner recommended and used.

Please advise dear kakis

I usually use 4T, never use gear oil before..

Update

Couple of weeks ago, i asked some questions about 2T intake. It took me a long time to get back. I really could not open the chain cap despite opening as many of the bolts as i could identify. When i asked Uncle Chong for help, he advised me not to bother coz the bike is almost 15 years old most likely the markings already inaccurate plus he claimed it would be hard to access where the markings are.

Anyway, i continued riding aggressively everyday to and from work, and whenever else i could. I noticed the bike had trouble getting past 140. It would jerk and "cough". Felt like piston was going to jam or something. (ive never had a piston jam before so i dont know the exact feeling.)

When i revved up to 12,000 (basically at the end of redzone), from gear 1 to gear 6, at gear 6 i also experience the jerking and coughing.

I assumed it was inadequate 2T intake at 9000rpm and above.

I decided to let Uncle Chong take a crack at my issue. He decided to put a cable tie at the bottom of the screw threads to keep the 2T intake big.

This is what he did:

http://i865.photobucket.com/albums/ab211/darylegoh/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20160604_103408_zpshdtbzj04.jpg

Its like a diy quickfix. I dont know how much 2T this will consume. I will report back once i get some idea after a few more weeks.

My fuel consumption now is about 17-19km/L. It's due to my riding style..

Anyway big thanks to frslims, movi$tar and haoKR for your help!

LOL, he always do weird DIYs but they work!

Hey guys, question here. Is it normal that my bike has no visible exhaust(smoke)? Even when start up there is very minimal smoke. I can still feel air coming out, but there is zero smoke.

Yes, normal, I used to be like this with no smoke until I top service and now, super a lot of smoke. sianz. 2T intake also increase even I turn until almost switch off.

My front fork makes a grinding noise when riding in slow speed (0-10km/h). Used a 2nd hand one coz old fork was dented. Anyone can clarify?

Me too. A grinding noise with every turn of the front wheel at low speed.

Quite annoyed by it but got no time to get it fixed as im too busy.

Do keep us updated on how you solve the issue.

2 reasons

1) brake wire

2) fender

hi gents, any fb group dedicated to kr?

Yes, just search for SG Kawasaki KRR

Yup, nowadays usual no chance. ask them to refer to last year photos if die die and maybe you can try to appeal with LTA and refer with your last year photos of approval.

Of cuz, if you racing footrest is those double bracket make it higher then confirm cannot. (they will see if your body balance is shifted or not)

Hey you guys using KRR...

Those using 2T pump/reservoir especially, how often do you need to fill up your 2t? (until the oil lights comes on those kind of scenario).

Mine last 2 months ++ abit worrisome? lol

Anyway, I've been using Motul transoil expert as my engine oil all these past months.. can only find in WK Motorsport at jb susur... Best ever engine oil for my krr, change gear all very smooth. Will never try other engine oil for now.

Hi kr riders. Here comes the time of the year where my bike falls sick. Haiz.

The current problem is there's a lot of white smoke coming from the exhaust belly area after riding for about 10-15min. No sign of Engine Oil leak. BUT there's a smell of 2T! I went to workshop and they changed the 2T supply hose because it's leaking. But still not solved. Came back and this time they changed the coolant hose. Still not solved. The problem is still there.

Any experts on this issue? Shoutout to those experienced kr riders. Need help in this. Thanks in advanced.

Yes.. depending on your route and 2T intake settings.. I have tried 3 months 1 bottle before.. Until I change my 2T pump pipe to brand new.. now 1 bottle per month.. :'(

Changed 2T pump but same 1 bottle per month.. :(

I think old pipes are usually jam but if you ride below RPM8 you should be safe.. :)
