I use Castrol Power1, cheap 2T from LAB. $6 per bottle(1 litre).

While castor is usually the number choice amongst real racers, I would say a fully synthetic is better for road bikes. The carbon build up on castor oils are usually more but not a problem for race bikes as they are stripped after every 2-3 races.

Not very sure about the Maxima range, got to their web page and check out which of their oils are synthetic. Royal purple is another good brand.
