Yeah.. I just went there this evening and spoke to Joshua.

 

He said that they can do it in 4 to 5 hours so we gonna get it done this Tuesday and then bring the bike to PG on Wednesday to test it out.

 

The way shedevil21 rides.... the overhauled shock absorber is going to be really tested.

To make sure your bike is track worthy......

 

Don't stinge on your tyres!!!

Make sure your tyres are fresh or at least not age hardened with hairline cracks on the sidewall kind. No point in having the best suspension in the world but your tyres cannot hold in a corner. They are the last point of contact with the road and they affect your riding confidence.

 

Check your brakes!

No point being a straight line speed demon on the front straight only to crash into the tyre wall coz you cannot brake in time.

 

Check your drive chain!!

Track riding is very hard on your drive chain. Make sure they are not overstretched. You will be using alot of engine braking to slow yourself down when entering corners and also the acceleration out of corners will stress the chain tremendously. A poorly maintained drive chain can break under such stress.

 

Use synthetic 2T if you can afford it.

Track riding on Kips is requires the engine rpm to be operating between 7000 to 10,000 rpm. You got to hold at least 7000 rpm when going into the corners to have some engine braking to control the bike and you will be dragging till 10k before changing gears to get as much speed on the straights.

 

Check out the 'On the Track' forum for PG track sessions when you are ready to go try some track riding, alot of trips are being arranged every week.
