Let's do a poll to see if the stereotyped thinking that bikers are poor people is true or a myth.

Take part if you have a bike and ride at least once a week.

i think it's more of a preference rather than being constrained by financial means...

Riding is not exactly very cheap. Well, depends on the make of the ride of course.. but I find that riding makes you more responsible in some ways..

I thought the stereotype of bikers are poor have died long ago, i guess not eh...

First you buy and brand new car and then sell it off after 3 years.... tell me how much you lose, don't forget to add fuel, ERP and parking fees.

Then you will know why I rather own 2 DRZ400SMs than a car. For that matter.. I have never owned a car in Singapore.

The actual cost of a car is cheap but its been over marked up and taxed...

I don't think I am a poor biker...

Where are the options for below $20,000 and below $10,000 huh?

It doesn't make any difference whether a motorcyclist has the right-of-way or not, the rider is the one most likely to get hurt.

There's no category for those earning below $30,000 cos the whole point of the poll is to show that people who ride bikes can also be well off?

So what, $30k and above falls into the category of well off or how well off a rider is? Come on, some ppl makes about 100k and still cant afford this and that coz of lotsa commitments....

shld be $30k and below, $50k and below rite? why are all the options above?

and ya, i belong to the $30k and below. but that doesnt mean im poor :D just live within means and be contented. be happy!

No more regrets.

I reckon the ts is advocating something here that bikers are not poor people. Driving a car does not mean that he/she is well off...

Hi Paiseh, I likes your birds, very unique :cheeky:

Well those bikers who ride Harleys, MVs, Ducatis and Triumphs (and there are plenty of them here) are all poor souls huh? Not to mention the young men riding the latest Jap sportsbikes... Come on...poor, I don't think so. Maybe just within their means, yes.

I used to be a car person. Then one day, I woke up and became a biker.

Ex rides:

Nissan Sunny 1.6

Nissan Cefiro 2.0

Honda CBR 150 R

Honda CBR 400 RR Fireblade

Current rides:

Yamaha 2008 YZF-R1

KIA Cerato Forte 1.6 Well OK sometimes a car comes in handy.

Oh dear, I should have added more categories of 20K, 10K and not working. But this forum has no feature to edit the poll categories now.

Let's take the first option as an income bracket to up to $50K.
