Hey guys, if I go to a bikeshop and ask to them to change my steering cone bearing, do they change the steering races as well? Or is it a seperate service?

got a question. spec 1 right side engine. the crome round casing with the word HONDA. is it ok if i open it to change to new casing.

or inside got oil etc, need to wait for next oil change then change the casing?

hmm do have a bike mech to check on it.faulty steering cone can be quite dangerous.

 

But some of them say its because of the box, cannot fix 1 ley.

What is yr S4 age?

 

May travel with & without the box to compare the shaking. If same, definitely cone bearing worn.

OR

1) Place the jack below the header & lift till the front wheel free contact with floor.

2) a) Turn the handler to one side & push the handle to chk any free tolerance when apply force.

If yes, cone bearing worn.

b) Hold the front fork with both hand & slightly push/pull to chk free tolerance. If feel loose, cone bearing worn.

same prob faced by me too...esp when bike is already hot n stationery at a traffic light, wad i normally do is find neutral quickly just b4 my bike comes to a stop...don't really know whats the prob...
