How do u know the Vtec is open ? Most ppl say is around 6-7K RPM. With this, it question back how do u know ur Vtec is not working ?

Fyi, I hv hit 7K RPM not that spectacular leh.

Thanks alot

the sound and torque differences might not be very obvious if u are just slightly past the rpm which VTEC opens. Like what distordd said, open throttle at lower gears past 7k up to around 10k or more. confirm u will notice the sound is different from below 7k and the acceleration is very strong.

its not to say the bike suddenly can fly, but u will surely notice some difference, if not, maybe ur bike spoil. lol

go daiso look for those things that prevent cats. they got sell something like a spike to prevent cats. i saw a biker put on his bike before. if not another way is to tie a string from your seat then go underneath the footrest then back to the seat after you put bike cover. it work for me when i does that.

Hi all, wanna ask how am i able to increase my idling rpm? Mine is constantly at 1k rpm. Thanks. :)

u need to adjust a flower knob. look at the red arrow in photo below, put your hand in till you can feel that flower shaped knob (you can see the knob if u bend low). feels like the head of a screw. turn it in the desired direction to increase or decrease idle. normally i start the engine till its warmed up and steady, then turn it and listen to change in speed, or look at the rpm meter.

beware of touching hot places, and dont attempt to adjust when bike is very hot.

So its not the side stand side of the bike? Do i need a screw driver to do it?

Mine becoming blur and cannot see the fuel bar properly during nite time as i think its the hot sun causing it to become blur. Any idea where to repair n the cost? I cant find the old thread anymore

Hi all s4 ppl out where.

How to check my water pump this working? feel my bike get hot after a short use.

How much to get repair ?

Nothing to check externally unless coolant is leaking out. Ur bike is hotter than it should be is likely due to partial clogs in the radiator with rust due to coolant mixes with tap water that causes rust. Flow is restricted because of rust build up over the times. Tap water should not be use but deionised or distilled instead. Motodiam don't bother mot of the time..for servicing when coolant not enough..tap water is added to filled the volume when one or two bottles is not enough to save cost. A well drained S4 coolant system requires about 1.8 to 2 litres full of premix coolant.

Stupid Hurts!.:giddy:Speed doesn't kill, mistakes does :faint:

BEER!...it's cheaper than fuel now! DRINK!..DON'T RIDE!
