hey guys, what does a magnetic coil use for? and how to know when to replace it. thanks in advance yah!

otherwise name alternator..its something which converts mechanical energy to electrical energy..in Alternating Current(AC) form..theres no telling when it will spoil..best is ppl say put voltmeter and see whether it regulates the desired voltage or not..if it drops then its a sign that the coil or rectifier or battery is going to die soon..

if u dont use voltmeter..then ull slowly feel that the electronic is not as strong as before...and gradually ur bike wont be able to start.

Anyone wants to share the recommended idling rpm for vtec 1? Thanks.

Hi I also looking for a Spec 1 manual. I read a Spec 3 user manual once and it's 1,250 to 1,450 rpm. For my Spec 1, it's 1,000 rpm after a recent top overhaul. Before it's at 975 rpm. The 1,000 rpm is not a recommendation tho as I don't know the actual Spec 1 spec.

Mine is always at 1k. I think that could be the result why my voltmeter always show a low reading.

Check on the speedometer and tachometer...i believe the vtec1 and ver s is different...unless the previous owner change...maybe u can compare with s4 around your area...can easily spot any s4..

better still y dun u just go back to the bike shop or the previous owner and ask them...they confirm will know the answer.

if ure tank got fuel gauge to turn on off reserve, then its version S, if no fuel gauge should be spec 1 =D

Either hweel bearings gone or chain adjustment too tight or brake caliper mounting may be loose. Excessive wear of back or front sprocket oso give this type of sound.
