no need to go through bike shop, u need the exhaust cert (which states that it is street legal, complies with euro law, has the exhaust's serial number printed on it and blah blah blah), your license and that inspection fee. that is all. go down to sta/ vicom/ whatever inspection centre oh and make sure you keep the silencer on before going for inspection.

so even if the exhaust cert (from japan for the pipe) already had another name stamped on it , it is still ok right ?

cos mine is a second hand pipe..

i don think so. u must go to the agent and transfer the pipe to your name first. take note this is the first step. different agents will imposed different transfer fees.

then u proceed to LTA with the ealier agent letter and make the inspection.

total 2 steps before ya pipe is legal, for a 2nd hand pipe.

btw bro i see bring in stuffs for drz. why dont u try bring in carbon fibre frame guards (from lightspeed). u may ask around first if anyone interested.

you are right bro, someone buying a used aftermarket exhaust needs to get the owner transferred at the distributor and they will print that document that the new owner needs for inspection.

I presume that the exhaust is already on your bike when you take over the bike?

If you are transferring the pipe to another bike, then will need to go inspection.

OIC ... yup ... the exhaust is already on the bike when i tk over ...

ahakz.. didn`t noticed u bro norishimu.. nxt time juz wave.. =)

if u bought ur bike 2nd hand n the pipe has alrdy been installed n inspected.. its alrite if the cert bears the previous owner`s name.. cos most imptly.. its the pipe that will be tied dwn to ur plate number.. so no worries..

if u`re buyin a 2nd hand pipe frm sum1.. u haf to drop by to da agent n do sum transfer ownership at a fee.. diff agent varies in their fees.. like delta nid to go speedzone.. gpr to jr.. yoshi to motoworld.. etc.. den go to lta fer inspection..

fer iu unit.. sum plc in btwn da headlite so as not to spoil da overall image of da bike.. fer me.. i dun put at all.. lolx..! =)

The '08 i've got for sale was bought from Bike Production. I paid 12k+ OTR. No problems, except not so friendly, but hey it was cheap. They offered me 9k to take in the bike.

retain heat?...oh my!...

u mean not available locally?..too bad...

the reason y i wanna get one is coz i understand it reduces the seat height..

was reading sum reviews abt it...tot it was comfortable....maybe i'm wrong dn..

since i'm short...think i might as well shave the stock seat or sumhow make it rounder..duno if tats possible or not..

fwah lau eh! $600 for a gel seat? i rather spend $30 and buy padded underwear for my (_!_) lor  actually, the Parallel import DRZ sm has a lower seat, so maybe u can ask who want to exchange with u. some people prefer the non pi bike's slightly thicker seat but it is slightly taller.
