The DRZ can be ridden sports bike style... and in the right hands.. in can take on the sports bikes too.

Hi raptor,

you are probably the first person i read about 1-2 years plus back that was having a drz before it became popular, and you've always been consistent.I am still wondering how you are able to knee down your drz from the first time i saw your pic, that really must have been something...Ive been away from track and the biking scene for about 2 years now and i hope to start again soon.i think some time ago you guided some newbies for sessions in tuas?maybe hopefully i could join in if you have another such session. :)

for value and durability, i suggest you get Cycra Probends as all of the parts like sliders and guards can be bought seperately..

not sure abt Acerbis, but it seems that they only comes as a set..

Cycra is only a bit more ex than Acerbis and it comes with 2 sets of guards, low profile and enduro..

If you need them, PM me, i'll let you know where you can get it..

Tuas already closed.. very sad..

Knee down on a motard is not hard.. you just gonna "hang" more..

i'm not from off-road background, thus knee down is what i've learnt from sportbikes..

leg out style is too scary for me..

There'll be a Sepang Go-kart trip in August if you interested..

that's where i experienced my first knee down on DRZ..

Zeta stuffs can get from Ideal.

They are the local dealer.

Then again, it's faster and maybe cheaper if you ship in yourself via online stores.. as dealers tend to give the "next month will come" answer when you ask for something that as not in stock..

Bro, about 8k and above......depending on the year...

from what i see is current market rate is abt $10-11k for a year old with moderate accessories..

$8k ones are for 3-4 yr olds..

should be in the $500 range for labour and parts..

bro, big bore kit is $500, cams are also that price..

I only have enough for overhaul lah..

I also wish can do everything.. maybe if this weekend tio 4D then ok lah..!

porting is just to ensure that the valves can move smoothly..

our exhuast valves should be having very thick carbon buildup by now..

1 DRZ did a overhaul at 20K KMs have 5mm of carbon stuck on the valves.. :faint:

my stock carb reaps 30-32km/L.. shiok!!

but when the power hunger took over..

at least now at abt 20km/L on FCR still ok..

how do u do it???

What did u do towards yr stock carb to get that kind of fc?

Did u rejet and tune or any other modifications to yr stock carb?

Or did yr bike go any modification towards its setup?

Or any extra help from fuel enhancement devices? Eg:- broquet, atom, etc?

Machine price about $8k. FZ plate. Every thing in (installment, road tax & insurance) all about $10k. Bike all stock....previous owner oredi do the decal, exhaust pipe (GPR). FC is about 215km to reserve..... Haven try the reserve yet.cos about 200km i pump petrol liao...about 7L -& 7.5L to full tank. travelling at 100km/h no problem...but never always go till 100km/h. I safety rider, only travel about 80km/h - 90km/h.

3 pricipals I never ride my bike… 1st about to rain – never ride, 2nd raining – never ride, 3rd after raining – never ride… Cos I don like my bike to be dirty....hahahahah :)

Hi Guys,

Where can i change my bottom triple clamp? Unique do not have them. Thanks!

there's only Evolution triple clamps (whole set, top and bottom) for your DRZ..

http://www.evolutionsuspension.com/parts/

OEM lower clamp costs almost much as the EVO clamps..

you can be the first to ship them in..

I can help if you wanted the full set..

else get back the original one..

why would you need to change..?

Posted

I got into an accident 3 months back, did not ride for 2 months plus and now the bikes feel whobbly. I suspect it's the bottom clamps might be crooked. Not sure sure though, need a trained eye to look at it. Just looking around in case i need to change it.

U can bring this in? ...
