it'll be interesting... wonder whether the new xr4 motard will be using same parts as the current xr4s... is the drz400sm parts relatively the same as those from drz400 e or s? quite interested in getting one...since someone said there's shops offering at 13.3k otr with 4.5% per annum interest... most likely need to hire purchase it...

the new xr4 motard engine wise is basically the same with the normal xr 4. juz dat they motardise it with a new set of tyres.

maybe there's an upgrade in the brake rotors, not too sure abt that though.

for the drz400sm, it is basically a drz 400s engine with mikuni carb. so if u wanna modd it to be like the 'e' series engine.....u need to change the carb to the Keihin FCR and change the compression ratio by replacing the stock 's' base gasket with the stock 'e' base gasket

but the the drz 400sm comes with 17" rim with super slick tyres and oversize rotors with improve braking and an oval muffler.

Ok ... only lar ... what a big woo haa. It does has the new age design (not fitted with quality parts) and now look stunning because there is no other motard that newly release come into sing to revival with it yet.

hey, remember me...

anyway, jus wan ask u. how heavy is ur xr650r?

coz u were saying that the new drz sm is kinda heavy for a 400cc motard..

wana compare the weight between a 400cc and 650cc and also the horses between the 2..

cheers...

Remember the horses are born in Spain

The DRZ SM can legally take a pillion and has got an e-start

The 650 engine will sure throw out more horses than a 400 engine, my guess is around 15 horses, but at increased petrol consumption.

If you want a lightweight powerful bike, then EXC525 or EXC250

And the yelllow/orange sure gets you noticed on the road from other motorsists

Haha ... good question ... Original spec is 127kg, after lightning and motard wheel gone down to 122kg dry weight, something like that. Is one red drunken pig.

DRZ400sm 136kg is definitely one sick yellow pig.

Sorry just joking ... ... :D

Thanks dude..

For you infos ... I had spoke to Suzuki agent - Guan Ho. Main suzuki bikes players are Lee, Looi and Teo Spray (if I did not remember wrongly). Means these few motorshops are able to give more discounts than others (all depends on them).

For your further guidelines, agent quoted 11k machine price including all taxes from GOV except COE and insur. Check on the lastest COE and work on the numbers accordingly.

Better do you homework before you get chop ... !

Here are some infos for your understandings;

- long stroke inverted fork derived from RM250 (showa brand)

- brake rotor front 310mm rear 240mm

- 05 gearings (why not 06 ... ? wasted ...!)

- rims front 3.5, 120/70/17 rear 4.5, 140/70/17

- carburetor mikuni 36mm (crap ... must change)

- dry weight 134kg (PIG ... ... !)

the tyre is aready in wrong size , not to mention the stupid carb

Having a 4.5" rim should require a bare minimum profile of 150 although a 160 is recommended.

thanks for the info.
