Think there's a similar thread on this. But those options are funny.

Anyway, my dad said guys must learn everything so he's supportive of me riding. :D

My advise for those whose parents object is not to ride until you can convince them.

Ride safe and happy CNY all. :)

ride secretly park far far.. dun buang they dun find out.. but make sure no sabo neighbour go sabo u and bao toh u.. tat is wat happened to me.. haha..

But i think best is convince them how safe u are and show them tat u will not ride recklessly. Buy full face, armour mesh and glove. But buang or not buang is not solely dependant on urself, if got kuku driver or rider knock u from behind you suck thumb as well. But hopefully having the gears on will save u of some serious injury and damage to wallet.

yeah my friends better not bao toh or what :/ cos i got common friends with my younger bro (who also must not know, and also wants to buy a bike next time). but anyway i've koped my friend's address, gonna pass to LTA and NTUC. so if they send any letter my friend can pass to me SWEE

from my exp.. i feel its better to come clean with ya parent. Arbor when you ride, oso got this inherent fear. Now that my parents know, I can ride without any heavy burden, riding feels more enjoyable than before. Of cos if I can ride a bigger cc bike, it would feel even more enjoyable

hmm, i wanted to. i did talk to them but i felt that they have some misconceptions about riding.. if they knew i bought a bike now, no room to discuss one. just sell it away or it'll be war. so i think the way out is to ride on my own, dont need them to worry, then when they somehow find out someday, they'd understand that its not that bad after all..

Agree with the above quote. You must, in whatever the situation, get your parents' blessings before you get yourself a motorcycle. If you already have a riding license they can't force you to surrender it but riding without their blessings is very dangerous. Go clean with your parents. Save all the unnecessary hassles.

I guess if u noe that there is misconception about riding, u should do ur part to help them clear it. Like what i said to show them physically that u will be safe, eg the gears and stuff. At times showing them the figures might oso help, like the cost of riding vs car and such. I still think safety is e top most priority.

my parents object while i was learning.. but figured and knew their daughter well enough.. start being more supportive.. and just shake head when I buang.. hee..

Now my father trying to convince me that a kup kia is better than my Italian Beauty.. Obviously it didn't get thru me... Haha..

I pillioned him once.. and he said that's the last time he'll ever ask me to pillion him.. Ooppss.. hahaha..

But it's really better to get clean with parents.. Will feel more at ease that you have their blessings and you know you can count on them to pray for your safety..

my advise is dont ride secretly. i took my license and bought a bike without telling them. when i went for lessons my dad suspected but the day i bought my bike i told them. you wont ride in peace when they dont know.

my parents also dont allow me to ride.

have been saying that its dangerous for 1-2years ever since i told them i want to learn bikes.

To ride on the road, You need skills,Stamina, or even luck.

But to be a good rider, you have to change with your environment, and adjust yourself to its rhythm.

Cultivate the confidence to face the different situations. Don't let yourself to be subdued by the environment :thumb:

Dont do anything without parents' blessing coz it will end up being a regretful thing to do.
