im not a bloody idiot , u making ur self sound like 1 . i ask his mim quota so i can help him reach his f*cking quota by askin my other frenz f*ckhead

Usually for MOs', the price of each item ordered really depends on the quantity stated. You can buy 30 bottles of oil from one supplier, and he'll sell it to you at $20 a bottle, and at the same time, from another supplier, he may offer you $15 a bottle for the same quantity.

So, first and foremost, we need to confirm the quantity of oil at which we will be using to bring the price down. There is seldom a 'quota' to meet in cases like these. It really depends on who you know and how well that person is feeling that day..

As kwyjibo has mentioned, just add in your orders (min 3 bottles), and he will TRY to get it at $17.. He will confirm the selling price per bottle for you AFTER he has gotten the orders confirmed.

At least, that is what I gather from most MOs'.

Peace..

=)

p.s. I'd try to refrain from using vulgarities here.. There are a few in here whose hands are MUCH faster than their mouths and brains.. So, there may be problems meeting up in future. Disagreements and resentments are natural.. It is a very human thing.. Just try to keep it in check k?

Had an accident?

Any injuries?

Do get well soon, both you yourself and your italian baby :cheeky:

Anyway do you have any lessons to share on the incident? Perhaps it would good if any of us *touch wood* who has gotten into any unfortunate event can post up and hopefully those who read the thread can pick up something useful and again hopefully apply it on the roads. :)

I will give you the summary of what happened. I was travelling along Benoi Road, still warming up my bike, going slow coz the roads were slippery with rain. My side of the road was clear, and the oncoming traffic had some slow traffic as well. A few vehicles were coming out of a small road on my left. Namely, Gul Ave.

As I approached this road, a bus was making a right turn into this road, and was doing it very safely. And was actually quite far from me. However, this lorry was trying to rush out of Gul Ave, but realised that he could not make the right turn, and stopped directly in my path, leaving me with less than 15 metres to stop.

As the roads were wet, the braking distance was much longer, and hence, I knew that if I were to continue on my intended path, I would have slammed right into him and prolly not be talking to you guys today. So I threw my bike, and thought to save myself by sliding away from the lorry.

My bike actually slid under the front of the lorry, coming out the other side, while I came to a stop just a metre away from the nose.

The lorry driver admitted that he was at fault in rushing out and will settle my repair costs. So, here I am, getting my insurance claims done.

So one very important lesson is, save yourself first. Machines can be repaired, lives cannot be replaced. And yes, watch out for errant drivers these days. They have been increasing in number over the years.

hi everyone.. im interested in buying aprilia rs 125.. im new to this forum so bear with me.. pls share your knowledge with me on certain stuff.. ok here goes.. my TP is in december and im looking forward to buying aprilia as im quite big size and i tried sittin on sp, tzm and kawa.. but it looks really odd on me.. the only bike that looks good for my size is rs 125.. i intend to use this bike for transport.. do you ppl think i shld get it?

1) how much will cost to maintain my bike monthly.. (if lets say i dunt whack throttle so much)

Varies from bike to bike. Some bikes are old and worn, you will end up fixing one problem after the next. For me, I usually DIY and replace parts before they are even worn, so I keep my costs down. A monthly average of $100-200.

2) where can i get a good rs 125 (went to MAH at jalan besar but their price a little high.. $5300 for rs125.. and the condition jialat.. they makin alot of profit outta the bike leh)

Mah buys RS's for under $1k and selling for 5 G's? Wow... That's a huge margin, but do remember they have many staff on their payroll, a huge warehouse and showroom, and have family and kids to support.

3) what is the fuel consumption like? full tank how much and can last for how many days? (if ride from hougang to queenstown everyday)

How long a full tank lasts depends on how much road you cover each day.

A poorly tuned bike may have a mileage of 14-20km per litre of petrol.

My RS is 9 yrs old. It does 26-28km per litre. It has never had a piston seizure from a lean mixture before, even when racing on track. I've been tuning my bike since I got it more than 3 years ago. Now, the spark plug's always a creamy brown, and only needs to be changed every 6-8 months. The magic is all in the tuning.

4) how ex can the spare parts get.. ( e.g. piston jam.. etc etc)

A piston of SP/KRR make can cost S$50. Our stock Rotax piston costs $240. A forged racing piston can cost up to $300 thereabouts.

Stock indicator lights can cost $35 each. Most other makes will cost $5 a pair.

Do you really need Prada when a $40 wallet holds your cards and cash just as well?

5) i know this bike rocks performance wise but what are the 'downs' of this bike i have to bear in mind before buying..

There are a few cons to the bike:

- There are too few mechs who can really do up your bike to spec. Even those mechs in popular shops you read about all the time in this forum just get by with "safe" settings.

- Parts are expensive.

- Resale value is low.

6) ok this is really important.. im 20 yrs old so how much will insurance cost and can i pay installment or take 3rd party fire and theft if my bike were to be on reloan? (i will probably do a reloan coz cant afford to pay 1 shot)

Gotta ask some of the new riders. I don't know about this. My insurance TPFT is $600.

7) can i bring malaysia to mod my bike coz i know tiz bike hard to get parts (e.g. racing footrest and all the other little stuff)

You can. No one is stopping you. Just make sure the mech was properly trained in Aprilia, Italy. Anyone can fix any bike. But its important to fix it RIGHT.

8) is it true that most shop cant service this bike unless they got a special computer to test the bike with (the guy at MAH told me they have special computer to test this bike and not any tom **** and harry can service this bike)

You don't need a computer to test the bike. You just need to know what you're doing. Most people don't know what they're doing, except lie, lie, lie.

9) my cousin is getting this bike from one of the forumer here who works in sembawang and is paying 2.9k for it which is fully modded.. seems like a good deal.. can ya guyz lookout for a deal like dat and let me know coz i only have a budget of ard 3k..

Just FYI, modded bikes are a little tricky. If the engine has been modded, it will hurt resale value. They break down faster. More performance, less durability. A fully stock bike is higher in value. But in terms of other accessory mods like stainless-steel brake hoses, aftermarket wavey disc brakes, carbon fibre bits, these will inflate resale prices and are justified.

If you hear someone trying to sell you an engine-modded bike for a higher price because it's got "power", WALK AWAY FROM IT.

10) they guy at MAH show me some of the rs125 they had there but its all rusty and condition really bad and also its $5300.. he said he can polish up the bike for me and not to go for the outer look.. is it worth it..

Yes, don't go for looks alone. But what guarantee does anyone have over the engine? To cut costs, most resale bikes are sold in the condition they were bought.

11) i intend ot keep this bike for more than a year.. so is it wort what im gonna spend?

NO.

12) im not really gonna race but juz for my info, can a rs 125 smoke an sp, tzm or krr?

I'll let you know when I do.

125cc pushing 140kg versus 150cc pushing 110kg?

THERE'S NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT. Moreover, even on paper, we've already lost.

Believe nothing you hear; and only half of what you see.

Do or do not; there is no 'try'.

hi all. i know this has probably been asked many times. but where is a good place to service the rs-125? also, has anybody gone to de-restrict the bike? sorry. one last question. has anybody fitted the arrow pipe on the rs or changed to the full system?

When touring, its usually the rider that give way first before the bike itself.

got box got tour.
