got a quick question. been reading up abit about sintered vs organic brake pads. any personal recommendation from anyone? i think my pads are up for a change and am wondering which one i should order off pjme.

I always have a prob starting bike in the morning.

No matter how many rds I turn my carb, it will still die off after I release throttle. I have to hold the throttle all the way even at the red light or it will die off. And after riding awhile my carb is still very cold. Anyone noes wat seems to be the prob?

Seems to me your idle rpm is too low, what's your rpm at idle? If you even have a reading..

from your past posts, i see that you're paying a lil too much attention on the carb.

 

the carb is there to provide the right amount of fuel mixture at different engine loads.

While that is important, your concerns about the carb (being cold etc) is non-relative and unnecessary. so chill bro.

 

Did you face this problem before or after you played around with d carb settings? If after, it can be down to d carb not set right. have you thoroughly understood how to set d screws? if not, then your settings may have gone heywire hence, the problem. Its not just 'turn abit here turn abit there' n all is well alr. lacrimosae didnt get his bike tuned overnight.

 

Another thing to note is if you have warmed up d bike properly before moving off. Did you 'choke' d bike if its not starting properly? sometimes it can be down to dis simple tings.

Thks for the reply. After I went to the bike shop to get it tune, it was normal. Then after a few days later I have to open choke and throttle to get it running.

 

Now I have to hold on the throttle all the way. Even after running on the expressway, the bike will juz die off the moment the bike is stopped. Yes I do a warm up everytime I start the bike. But I have to hold down the throttle. Gonna head down to the bike shop later to get it checked.

There are no cons, only a slight inconvenience- if you forget to top up your 2T container, you cannot pump petrol.

 

This is easily circumvented by keeping an extra container in your storage. If you get to the station and realise you didn't refill your 2T, and you have to use the spare, you'll remember to refill both when u get home.

 

If you can still forget after you are forced to use your spare, then you have more serious issues to worry about than the health of your bike... For instance, your mental health.

 

And you have to remember to turn off your fuel tap (petcock) before refuelling, and turn on your fuel tap after refuelling.

U should make the jump. I was pretty paranoid about converting to premix waay back. After advices from our seniors and other close friends (plus numerous times of piston seizures and jams) i decided to convert. Really enjoying the feel of the bike now. Just need to have spare bottles of 2T just in case. I dont travel much nowadays, so a bottle of 110ml is enough for me. Anyways, worth it lah bro.
