I think there should be a handful of you guys on the road to give first aid when or where ever a fallen rider or driver is. The SCDF might want to look into this "first aider recovery bike" on the roads. Why not give some ideas to them bro,I will surely support this act.

A fast rider who is better,a doctor too, can save lives on the road however the bugger must be well equiped with surgical tools. The term "Doctor" is obviously not Valentino Rossi but an experienced rider & first aider.

We had a first aider D9 on the road last time but he has retired and became the first public relation officer. :)

Police Version - Lucky buggers!!!!

I'm always tempted to 'hijack' the Police Divvys whenever I see them parked with the keys in ignition, when responding to emergencies (accidents)... ---> refer to: GTA series

PS: I love the Divvy not because the Police Force uses them, I simply love it because of its design... There are no other bikes with similar design, apart from the Yamaha SECA II (600cc)... Look at the new 'HONDA' Police VFR... To me, it's ugly... looks like a BABY BIKE.... Refer to picture...

Boybulance, we can ride together (XJR400 and XJ900) this 21 June 09. There'll be a safety riding convoy at Pioneer Zone 12 RC, is at Jurong West St 61. On that day, you can have a close look at the TP D9, coz the Traffic Police will be coming for road safety talk and also displaying the bike. Registration form going to be out soon.

Hi, guys, Divvy owners/riders,

Sorry to interupt your den.

But after reading these few recent postings and BoyBulance's posting #10772 and also I did search on Hong Leong Corp's website, am I right to say that Diversion 900 is no longer in production??

I only saw a Diversion 600 on Hong Leong corp's website.

If Divvy 900 is no longer in production, then quoting from BoyBulance's posting #10772 :

"As simply summarised by Bro Nasir..." Divvy 900 is truely is a gem. :thumb:

BTW, I had always been very curious. Even if we do own a Divvy 900, is it possible that we fix the tow side boxes and the rear small small box to make the bike look exactly like a TP bike??

If Divvy 900 is no longer in production, then is there any of this "gem" in bike shops for sales??

Actually when I was "downgrading" from my previous Yamaha "Fabulous-Joy-Ride", I was looking at Divvy 900 too, but can't seemed to find any 2nd-hand ones in the bike shops (maybe I didn't search hard enough lah!). In the end, I settled for my current Honda Viffer (I am not saying Honda Viffer is not good)... :)

Sorry, I know I may sound very stupid and naive, but another option I was thinking is that can we approach SPF Traffic Police Department to ask them whether they selling their Divvy 900 as 2nd hands when they up-graded their TP bikes?? heehee... :)

But then I think those Divvy 900 TP bikes sure to be kenna "whacked" hard hard by those TPs and the conditions of the bike, engine may not be very good liao... :)

Why suddenly everybody like D9 at the same time, dats weird .....

Yes you are almost right. Most of the major failure occured in the D9 are the shaft and gear problems. The repairs don't come cheap however not all bike are like that as it all depends on the rider.

What can I say, it is a shafty unlike your responsive chain driven viffer :)

I believe all shaft driven bikes are not meant to "burst and go" as it will deteriorate mechanically during long years.

Safe rides :thumb:
