actually US45 not that expensive... consider now USD dropped so much... just that after adding the delivery charges then will be quite ex... any shop in SG selling?

hihi..

considering that the usd is rather low now, US$45 really isn't tat ex. But like wad u said, after adding in the shipping charges, that's where it becomes expensive.

I've not come across any shops yet tat sells a similar model.

If u do come across 1, pls fill us in.

cheers!

Can someone advise whether its normal for the voltmeter's (auto gauge) needle to fluctuate between 13 and 14V while cruising at 110km/h on s4?

Is this a voltage surge/fluctuation to be expected and normal for auto gauge, or do i did i have faulty unit just installed on my bike a week ago?

P-plate should be an attitude to safety and riding. There's always more to learn.

Motorcycle voltage generated is AC by nature before conversion to DC via the rectifier. Hence what you read out on a voltmeter (depending of make of device) might or might not be "pure" due to the noise level. Another reason is the quality of the voltmeter. Most voltmeters is built in with to "damp" out the noise so you will see averaging voltage read out. (So your eyes won't go bonkus when the needles/LED/digits mode all over the place :cheeky: )

A good way is to use a better quality multimeter (FLUKE/HILTI etc). Constant rpm with a relative stable read out, but changes readout responsively with opening/closing of throttle will be very healthy.

Hope the above helps..

Thank You.

Thanks mate. My unit's fluctuations was a one-off affair. I'm pretty satisfied with its reliability and accuracy.

Maybe it was the pillion who interfered with the flow of the electricity by sending out vibes...
