Yea, that will be a great buy. Lasts much longer than stock, plus plates are cheaper, when they eventually wear out.

The amount of money u spend on servicing a 749 and a 999 is the same. Yes it is true that u must service ur bike every 10000km, but it's how u do it. there are a lot of aftermarket parts available at a cheaper price.

To be honest, most of the 749/999 riders in SGP do not use their duke to travel on the road everyday. Be prepared to get another small bike for daily use and use ur duke for weekends/track/ touring purposes. In that way u will save even more.

As for comparing the 749 and 999, its up to individual preferance. For a 749, in my own opionion, there are more usable power on the track since the bike is more balanced, easier to handle. But dun expect much on a straight than a 999. The top speed of the 749 is approximatly only around 250-260KM/H, but a 999 could stretch up to 280km/h or more. A 749 insurance is cheaper than that of a 999. Fuel consumption is also lower. It is easier to ride on SGP road at slow speed as compared to a 999 since it is not that torquey. As for looks wise, they both look the same. Do consider and think carefully before u buy. There is a 749 Dark sold by orange, and a 999 sold by Neo in this forum. Both are great machine, the 749 Dark, with its ridiculous low milage of 1900KM only. Neo's 999 have got a lot more accessories.

Anyway, do u have any Busa accesories to let go, my friends are riding Busa. Just helping them to check it out.

As for that i am not that sure! Maybe No logic One or Red rockets can help out with that. All I know is that the 749 has better suspensions (maybe because it's still new), making the bike to turn easier and more stable in the corners (especially when the road is uneven). But as for power delivery wise, the 748 is still at a advantage. Better mid-high range i felt. I could feel the bike pulling away from me after a corner on the straight.

hi guys, i'm selling my 748 monoposto 97 model but register in 2000. last new 748 model when i bought it. hav crash b4 but jus cosmatic, hav got full frentubo kevlar hoses, new tank, new radiator, new carbon airbox, new carbon mirrors, new carbon undertray, new carbon front fender, new carbon V piece, new carbon air runners, got 3 tail pieces, mono seat, biposto seat n ducati performance fibreglass race seat, all never installed b4. only thing lacking is the fairing which is damage. got myself an R6 so its pointless to hav both bikes. selling it off at only $5k as it is, fairing price should b bout $1k or less for race fairing since already hav the tail piece. so interested pls let me know. 91126498

Hmm.... Though going back to the 916/996/998 styling, it still looks nothing like the classic design. :weep:

Headlights looks very Kawa-i.....

very chio... the lefty rear wheel is coming back again!

the headlights looks more mean and streamlined as compared to older 916 variations, but still lacks the wide-toothy-grin-attitude headlight look of the older model! :lovestruck:

the twin taillights looks suspiciously close as being taken off from an mv agusta bike too...

overall it seemed dat the outlook of the new ducati's merely a copy of the original 916 wit more updated furturistic details.. and so the 916's outlook design had again stood through the test of time very well, even now heheh.

and had readup somewhere dat the new ducati was designed to take on currently available high performance inline4 1000cc jap superbikes wit its slightly higher cc but retained the v twin engine?

now if oni the 2007 ducati monster lineup had the close outlook as to the mv agusta brutale... wowee... faster save up le... heheh...

Ducati: First official pictures of the 1098

These pictures have been so widely spread on the Internet that even some websites purely living on official press releases have got them! My source tells me about a possible scan from a brochure at an Italian dealer. Good for us and at least now you can see the whole bike rather than the official feed from Ducati. Because if you were to rely on seeing the whole bike at the current pace in various Ducati blogs on the internet you would see the whole bike in about 10 years or so. Full presentation and big pictures after the November 13th press conference in Milan. Tor Sagen

one of my friend just bought a Busa. And shortly after that he was mentioning to us that someone is selling a few months old 06 Busa. And that is U. And that point of time we were all wondering, why would anybody sell a first hand bike so soon?

 Now that i have read ur thread i understand why. :cheeky:
