Go read the MotoGP Qatar race aftermath, you will roughly get a feel what's going on.....

I read the postings there, it's almot like some Project Superstars debate.....luckily they dun have a MotoGP hotline for supporters to vote who should be on the podium. Race counts for 35% while callers count for 65%......then we stay up 2 hrs later after the race to see the "people's choice" podium position

But some points are valid.....

1. Duc is fast on the straights.

2. Rossi is fast on the corners, faster than Stoner in fact. It's like you trying to chase down 9 series duc with your 749, provided the rider in on par with your standards, hee...you get the 9 series in the turn, but down front straight and out of T1, bye bye. All hard work repeats itself, ha ha.

3. Riders with 250cc exp ride well.

4. Hayden dun seems to perform well, so bye bye his world champion title this yr.

5. They should set up a Rossi fan club here and we shall see the Rossi fans in this forum will join or not.

Actually, i find it unbelieveable that Ducati V Engine actually outrun Yamaha Inline 4 engine on the straight.... I was suspecting it was most probably due to the gear ratio of the sprockets... Rossi's meachanic might have set the final drive too high so it ended up slower on the straights and faster exiting out of the corners.... Behaving just like a V engine. :)

FS: black Marchesini magnesium 5-spoke wheels

Since the classifieds section is gone I thought I'd post here... I have a set of classic superbike (748/916/996-8) black Marchesini magnesium wheels that I'm looking to sell. I brought them with me when I moved to Sing thinking that I could find a sbk but ended up getting a Triumph Daytona instead. They are not new but fresh from the powdercoater (black) and still plastic wrapped - they look perfect and are super light. I was going to put them on my 748R but got sent to Singapore before I had the chance! Send me an SMS if interested. Asking $2300.

Well, if you follow thru MotoGP websites, Rossi's M1 is not exactly a fast bike on the straights....it's like the 7th fastest registered on the speed trap at Qatar. Rossi made blasting laptimes to keep Stoner within sights with his exceptional fast entry speed and early throttle. He's fast, very very fast on the turns. I never expect myself to sing so much praises for him till now. This 800cc season makes me understood why so many ppl supported him.
