Thanks Seven, obitrok, for your all input re: pipes!

Guess I'll give 'em termis a try when I've saved up enough dough, and keep all you guys posted if I get attention from any of the boys in white.

Obitrok, here's wishing you a speedy recovery!

The 2005 999R looks.... erm, how do I put it.

Why do they have to block out the top vents?

check out the new 999 and 999S at Ducati.com.

for the 999, it features the enhanced WSBK swingarm, an amazing 140hp engine, dbl bubble screen, nose fairing without the slotted vents, a nice black seat for the biposto, a more rigid frame (now red) and a host of other new features... oh and the 999 comes in a glossy, beautiful black as well.

as for the 999s, a new 143 hp engine, radial brembo calipers and an additional termi system.

man this is all too mouth watering and the new 140hp engine?? WOW!

i think maybe i still prefer 998/996/916...

but dunno whether 999 is more reliable than 998/996/916.

Guys ... interested in getting a Monster400. But since i'll be signing up for my Class 2 soon, my options now seem to be:

a. Buy a second-hand M400. try it out. Upgrade to M620 when I get Class 2 (yes, I know, should have converted in UK ... blah blah blah)

b. Buy a brand-new M400 with a view to riding it for a long time.

c. Don't buy anything, then go for M620 when I get my Class 2. Problem is that what if I don't like the ride then??? (or that would never happen!!!

Think in terms of options it'll be (a), © and (b) in order. Any views? BTW, M620 turned out to be cheaper than I expected.

Help ....

Cheers

why not wait for your CL2 and decide from there. dont let your CL2A rectrict you and consequently make impulse decisions. there are some very nice m900 deals out there.

all ducatis have niggles, the older ones more of course. the 999 has turned out pretty reliable and i can only see more improvements in the long run with better production methods, better designed electrics/mechanics and better QC as a result.

so heh heh, any one wants to go all the way to Sepang for the upcoming motogp? must hear the desmosedicis roar in real.
