hi, is it an easy bike to ride? very hot at the thigh/crotch area? lol.

andy, did u see the white 848 beside ur bike in the showroom? what do u think about it?

Posted
can this problem be resolved? guess I'll have to ask Minverva.

if u ask me, a $50 grand bike, less than 24hrs old, a replacement of the headlight housing is the least they can do.

unless, ure looking to live with it?

HI audrey,

with regards to the 848,the white looks faded to me dunno know if it is suppose to be like tat cause never had the chance to see a brand new one.

and honestly cun comment on the bike cause did not hear nor feel the bike with the engine started.

as for my bike, powerful and the feel is very different from the japanese bikes I had owned.

i am 1.8m and in th e beginning, pressure on my palm on the handlebar. never had the chance to use 4 gear as I was travelling from Minerva to Kelantan Lane. mot feeling comfortable with heavy traffic, decide to stop and wait. need to get use to the bike. resume ard 11.30 in orchard and after some adjustment on the gripping and posture, felt better. honestly, sportbike never gives comfort but in return u get adrenaline. overall happy with my bike.

I believe 99% of the 1098 faces this headlight fogging problem.. just removed the headlight caps and let the bike sun in a hot afternoon.. its due to the headlight compartment is airtight to prevent water from slipping in. So once there's water vapour inside, it will fog when the headlights heats up the vapour. and thus the fogging. Its under warranty but u would'nt want ur new bike to be strip apart to change a headlight?

cheers~

Its very very hot during running in period. After that change out the coolant and coolant hose at 1k and u should be good.

Will need guidance on tyres pressure, suspension setup etc. promise wont block your way on track.

Alvis, wats the tyre pressure to use on our 1098. the manual's recommendation is 2.1 bar(front) and 2.2 (rear). dun understand in bar format. please advise.

If you are advicing me, thanks. my manual is 2.5bar (front and rear) which i believe is for road use. superhard that i dont feel much good feedback from the tyres. kinda of inspire "no confidence". good for daily riding though.

Bro, finally see u post after so long... I tot ur 749 was sold already! in the end u still kept it after so many years! i'm thinking of letting go mine already! :cheeky:

hey man.. yeah.. i still have it.

it was almost sold on a few occasions but each time I pulled the plug as i couldnt really figure out what could be a replacement.. the new dukes are lovely but they're quite a fair bit more expensive than what the older ones used to be

well if u letting yours go I'll be aiming for your trick parts .. :D
