johntan: The video is hilarious! Thanks for it! Love certain parts of the commentary. Now the jap boys can see Italian quality for a bit eh? *cough* wide turning *cough* Heh and the TLR rider looked like he was hanging on to a chair or something while turning.

boo hoo hoo... I want a Ducati... but seriously lacking in excess vitamin M.. so .. emm... ermmm.. ahem... I took home the 916's japanese sistah.. yup... I have the TLR... after riding my brother's 916.. and now on the TLR... I long for my italian dream.

OK, not that the TLR is so bad... just that there's no finesse riding the TLR, got to be quite "rough" with her (oops...sounds sexists, no offence to any ladies here) and power delivery doesn't feel as urgent or raw as the Duc.. loved the duc.. for now, I'll just pretend mine's a duc until the next corner comes up

But the beauty of the TLR (& S) is that there a real nice bunch of really helpful people on the TLR forums...

Hi Guys,

I am now living in Vancouver and have just ordered a 05 749 with full Termi Piping. I know cars re much cheaper here (in Canada) like 1/3 the price of Singapore prices, but was wondering if it was the same deal for bikes.

I paid around C$23000 for it or like S$29,000.00 The full termis were another C$2,500.00. Anyway, it is much nicer to ride here as it is more friendly and the weather is cool enough for me to put on full Dainese leathers....

Good Day Fellow Ducati's, I'm the one selling the 748. Well firstly let me explain to those who inquire about the sound of loose screw coming out from the bike. Its the sound of the dry clutch. Secondly I'm against testing of the bike because insurance is not covered. Did Minerva let u test ride the ducati before u buy them?Well the reason I sprayed the bike is because the paintwork has aged. I can show u previous photo of the bike before i bought over. With regards to accident, I can only say Duc's r meant for track and unless u r Rossi or Fogarty chances of falling in track is inevitable.Even they fall off sometimes. But if u r looking for a bike which have not had any accident before i suggest u get a brand new ducati 749/999 which cost over 30K. 7 Years ago this bike cost around that price too. So is it expensive if i sold off mine for 9K with a low mileage of 38K. Almost all second hand duc's have accident on them. Try visiting Minerva W'shop or Kallang Cycle and see what i mean.No Offence to anyone. The shavings of metal on the chain have been rectified and replaced. Thanks for the info. Guys the reason i'm slashing the price is because i under utilise the bike. I Used it like once or twice a week. Most of the days i'm driving. Anyway i bought the bike because it's been my childhood dream to own and ride a Ducati. I really like the attention given by onlookers, and the sound coming from the desmo engine. Anyway only a ducati rider will appreciate.

If you slash the price too low, others will think there's something fishy. There's no lunch in this world right?

I would suggest you get Mike to test ride it and verify that the engine's ok. Then maybe all critics will be silenced.

Ducatitan: Hey dude, just curious about the pic in your signature. On the Ducati, what brakes is it using? Cause it looks like either the discs have been removed or they are like bicycle brakes? Heh..

Hi again, I'm not against testing of the bike but then again is mike a qualified mechanic? How can he tell just by riding around the car park that the bike is in good condtion? U need to push it to at least 200km/h or more than u will know whether its good and running. Just for your guys info i bought the bike even without listening to the engine as the previous owner did not ride it for almost 6 months. Battery and rectifier are gone. I had it replaced and do the bike up again which almost cost me $900. Why don u guys go to Kallang Cycle and check with micheal chong about the condition of my bike as he is the one who service the bike.

Hi, I was one of the guys whom wanted to test ride the bike.

I just wanted to ride the bike in a straight line, hands free to see whether

the alignment is straight as an arrow, no need to ride up to 200km/h,

Anyway, your bike still up for sale?

Maybe you should give alittle more attention and not be so ignorant when someone, especially your buyer, points out a problem with your bike, like metal shavings all over your swingarm, chain and sprockets.

I was very shocked when you just took it so lightly, didn't even bother to look at it. I believe you even rode the bike home in that condition. I can imagine what those metal bits can do to the O-rings in the chain, or worse still if they get into the wheel bearings, gearbox etc.

Such sales is based on trust, and if you want us to trust your words, perhaps you should do your part to gain this trust too. Taking such things so lightly only goes to show your attitide towards maintaining your machine.

I may be wrong, maybe you're tired of so many people viewing your bike and not buying, this I understand. But I'm sure any caring owner would jump if they hear about such defects on their machine right?

I'm sorry, I'm just puzzeled by the way you sell your bike.

Well, I just wanted to try out the riding position. Such focused sports bikes can only be properly tested where they belong, on the race track.
