It's not about the power or speed or how fast your ride goes but the time & effort spent to achieve something different

My Toys:

Harley XR1200

CB400-V-tec III (served me well )

Streetfighter S ( never felt better! )

i think can try to ask marry to order in for you?

if not you can always try to convert it. seen a few on youtube that have done it.

btw just came back from Minerva, saw 1 2nd hand if im not wrong. can try calling them to esquire?

Yes bro that's true. But what I can confirm is that the streetfighter will launch a 848cc soon cos I was given an option to pre order it...=D

Yup. Might consider the BST.. It's very tempting.. But very ex too X.X

It's a hard decision, spending few grand for very minor weight loss on the wheels. :D

Not worth the money and we mere mortals don't really feel it....Itz all in the mind.

The lightness of ur rims on ur S4 was amazing especially on 1st gear. Why not try our the forged with your other enhancement, never too late to change those wheels :):):):):)

S4?? U mean super4 rite...

I wanted the BST too but later found out the weight savings are not worth the $$. 1lbs less per wheel only. Worth it or not, your money your call.

Unsprung weight reduction mod won't be felt by a mere mortal? Why is that so?

Improvement in acceleration, braking and handing should be more of an advantage to a mere mortal than to a riding god. No?

If you have the moolah and want performance gain, go for it.

I put BST's on my bike. It's not really about the weight reduction but the reduction in inertia when starting or stopping. The heavier the wheel the more effort required to get it turning or stopping.

and they look good :)

...too many to list

Hi all duc bros and sisters,

One of my friend got a 999 biposto. He had replaced to OEM clutch last month after his clutch slippage. Since then, everytimes he move off from 1st gear, there is a jamming sound coming out. Is something like "herm". Unless he moved off like a turtle then is OK. He is running on ducati corse slipper clutch too.

I can hear the sound and cannot tolerate the irritating sound when I was moving off together with him.

Any experts or 'old bird' can share your experience and solve the problem?

Trying to help my 40 years old friend as he never use PC. Hee hee. Appreciates.

Cheers

i have this problem too with my 1098.. if i move off slowly and throttle only when i fully release the clutch its fine... but if i throttle harder, there with be a jamming sound n its quite loud.. anyone care to explain wats with this issue?

thanks

The price isn't for us mere mortals either! :p

But I've heard they make the most difference when replacing cast wheels on the base models. On the higher spec models, they are more of a fashion upgrade? Opinions?

also depends on what you are upgrading from: cast mag, cast alum, forged alum, forged mag, carbons. there's also a diff in regards to how many spoke rims u coming from. the 916 3 spoke rims are heavier then the 998 5 spoke rims which is heavier then the 999 10 spoke rims.

Dry clutches are difficult to launch since the technique of launching a wet clutch bike cannot be applied exactly. Fiddle around with it a bit more and you should be able to launch it fine with more practice.
