Hilary > When are you getting the STM Slave cylinder? I'm interested!

Also, I think have to make sure this kit can be bled using the normal fittings used to bleed brake discs, cos it doesn't seem to have the nipple...

QUICK!!! PM OR CALL REDROCKET AT 97959998!!!! He's gonna place orders soon or already did.....

I'm not buying the STM Slave cylinder, but the MW Corsa rip off  at a much better price. You see for yourself, no need everything STM....crash also all gone, no like the STM can save the bike or wat...

Important is that STM, Evo whatever brand, MW rip offs all comes with 10yr leak free warranty, which outlive the OEM 3yr lifespan.

The bleeder comes as an option kit. Let RedRocket knows and he will place in one for you like ours.

QUICK QUICK!!!!!

:D

Hmm, If it sells for US$109, plus the bleeder nipple for US$10, quite a good deal. Plus shipping should be less than $220 altogether.

But if can get locally, thats the best la :thumb:

ktkt, can changing the clutch actuator help like that time you mentioned at Bedok Sempang??? And yes, the rubber boot for the clutch "piston" above the pinnon gear (front sprocket) is still not replaced yet. My guess it's leaking from there. Have not really open up and see.

It's not tat bad if you bring some brake fluid to top it up meantime.

The design of the stock clutch slave cylinder has quite a extended portion of the clutch actuating exposed. ( It's attached from one end of the clutch pressure plate

and exposed and contacts the clutch slave piston.)

Where it leaves the engine side, and contacts the clutch slave cylinder, it's covered

by a rubber grommet which most probably has disintergrated and has allowed

dirt from the front sprocket to enter the clutch system.

The stock slave piston only has one o-ring as compared to 3 o-rings on motowheels/evolunzione/stm etc etc.

Also, for my motowheel slave cylinder(i believed made by evolunzione),

the part where the rod is exposed is shorter, and is covered by a tough, thick seal

which should protect against the road grit from the front sprocket and not to mention the triple o-ring seal on the slave piston.

the motowheel does not have a lighter clutch action though, so please note.

Alternatively, you can just order the replacement slave piston from evolunzione (which has 2 or 3 seals for the piston for stock) but u still risk contaminating the clutch due to the design flaw. (weak rubber grommet covering the exposed rod)

Anyway, have not had any problem when I had mine replaced. The old fluid was gritty and the old clutch slave was really terok.... An aftermarket unit should rectify this.

(Do ask the manufacturer whether it'll fit onto older Ducati as the clutch rod

is shorter, mine came with a spacer to fit onto older Ducs; minus the spacer for newer Ducs)

Attention all riders. A word of caution. Should you go into JB by 1st link that is through Woodlands checkpoint, please ride carefully and slowly once you passed the JB customs. It seems that there are a LOT of potholes and gravel once you exit the customs especially at the U-turn and into Jalan Wong Ah Fook. Even the roads after the flyover towards JB customs heading to Singapore suffer the same problem. The roads must have been made of low quality products that after many days of rain, the ground just softened and break under pressure from all the vehicles. Luckily I noticed the problem, if not sure buang. Just ride slow and steady guys... :goodluck: :thumb:

First learn stand, then learn fly. Nature's rules biker-sans. Not mine...

I bought mine at Sporting Motor. Quite pricey, but saves the hassle of shipping.

Both are fantastic track tools, but depends on his riding style and preferance.

I've never ridden a 750cc Duke before, but I've heard stories of a certain 748 overtaking litre bikes :thumb:

if your fren is looking at 2005 onwards model 749s, its a great track nike but servicing it will cost a bomb, per minerva tech, its going to be twice the cost compared to any other superbikes model (999s, 999...)

why is this so?? its due to the engine which is similar to the R model and therefore needs more manpower for every full service. i read it somewhere but cant remember which per of the engine.

its boils down to short term savings vs long term pain. :cheeky:

The testesttra valve train supposed to be be more reliable than the desmoquattro, that's what I read.

It's still a V-twin, just that the stroke/bore is different between the R and the S/std.

I think for street use, the standard and S are more aptly suited.

R is meant for race track, not everyday lugging and riding.

How I wished I had one.....
