have heard a little bird says

dear bro..every increase of 10km/hr speed..you will hit with 10% increase of Fuel Consumtion ..

may be your case every increase of 10kg load+wind resistance of extra baggage you get less 5 tkm/L...ah naked bike will be best for low fc..hahah

hi guys, i am riding a TA 200.. since it does not have a meter i often run out petrol, cus i never take note..

but then today, when i was riding home.. the bike felt no power ( like how it will feel when the bike run out of petrol )

so i switch to reserve as usual then after going into 3rd / 4th gear the bike kept having the power being cut off and then on again.. ( alot of jerky motion )

anyone has any idea wat is going on?

Still no petrol?

Maybe fuel c0ck spoilt?

ooh.. so sorry to mention, after i went to the pump station, fill it up the problem was still there..

fuel c0ck is which area? meaning izzit, the fuel cannot be properly channel to the engine?

Shifted here.

No, fuel c0ck is the reserve fuel switch. It just means that "ON", "OFF" & "RESERVE" are all "ON" or "RESERVE"

So no matter how you turn also no reserve fuel, and you won't know you are out of fuel until you totally run out of gas!

If want to test to troubleshoot whether the fuel c0ck switch is faulty,

1. Fill up a 1.25 Litre bottle with petrol.

2. Ride until fuel tank totally empty. (Or can drain out totally)

3. Switch to "ON"

4. Pour in the 1.25 Litre of petrol

5. Ride and see if can go around normally

6. If can ride, that means fuel c0ck spoil

Because the reserve is 2.4 Litres, when the fuel tank is totally empty and the switch is "ON", & not "RESERVE", there shouldn't be enough fuel to go into the carburator. If fuel goes in, something is wrong.

Senario 2

You got a fuel tank full of petrol, but the problem is still around, it may be that your fuel c0ck is dirty, that is to say the inside of the tank is so badly choke that the hole for the petrol to flow out is stuck. Like the way you put it, "fuel cannot be properly channel to the engine."

If so, you will have to remove the fuel c0ck and clean up the plastic filter inside to clear the flow.

The right side of my engine block will be oily after a few days.. especially near the part where its connected to the throttle cable... is the gasket torn?

I changed the gasket abt half a yr back when the left side was leaking EO but dont know if mech changed only one side or both...

suggest u go back to your mech and request him to re torque all the gasket bolts..maybe this will solve the problem..

not sure it is a one piece or 2 pieces..ask your mech..

most of the time this is a 1 piece affair..

Hi I tried to dismantle my oil tank from the frame but i realize the oil tank is 2 layer as in when u turn the oil tank over u can see there's 2 layer. Is it possible to separate this two layer ?

2 layers??..do u mean the tank is a 2 piece construction..

after the top press/deep drawn..etc same with the bottom piece..both are welded..most probably by resistance welding...

they are permenently joined together..

let your bike warm up first perhaps for a minute before riding off. thats what i do to prevent stall when sudden high rev.

btw im loving my ta200 except for its rather high fc lately =( 29-32.5.

i would check the air filter/clean, clean the air box of condensation o whatever crap u find there...as well..

the fuel mix maybe too lean...pull choke and/or increase idle may overcome this problem as temp fix....the symtom of a lean mix is that difficult start and stall at traffic junction at normal idle.

warm up bike is a good idea..

if there is water in the petrol, rusk etc may exhibit the problem u encounter..

good luck..

Hi guys. I need some help over here. Whenever I'm traveling at 80-90km/h and i close my throttle, there are weird sound coming from don't where. is it normal for ta 200?

if it happens when u close throttle or downshift gear??

i would check the chain tension and or chain guide/slider.

maybe your chain tension is slack..and/or chain slider worn out.
