guys, why not list down the price from different shops on selling this R107 and as well as the date of enquiry (estimated will be good enough) so that we can see the trend and as well as the latest pricing. After seeing so much good review about the new R107, I'm seriously looking to buy it fresh from the box......hope this thread will be a good headstart for bros looking for R107....

BUT there is still a bit flexibility..

for me.. i fall on yr 1st and 3 rd category.

coz i still have my rxz as my form of transportation. wheras my fazer(until R107 comes out) i will use it as long distance or jln2.

 

i really advise braders out there,if they wanna own a big bike,it s best they have a small bike too..

i believe more pros den cons.. any comments??

yep bro, several years ago when i had my R6, i had a XR400 for everyday use. easier to ride around in town and mount on and off kerbs with the XR hehe

 

i think the prices of the R1 will not be too far off it they come from HL. Just the HP offered by the shops will differ. Unless the shop uses Hitachi credit then i bet it will all be the same. In house HP may differ from shop to shop.

I dunno abt you, but IMHO, it's a mistake to choose between a 600 and a 1000 based on differences in pricing.

 

It's better to choose a bike based on how you feel riding it, and how you intend to use it.

An 07 R1 costing 23k otr w/o insurance should be quite ok IMO . I bought my 04R1 at 24k including insurance . So prices havnt changed much .

 

Anyway , the improvements which i think the 07 has a advantage over the 04 is the change to 4valve per cylinder n the mid range . The slipper clutch is an added bouns , but one wun utilise it so much on the rd .

 

Anyway , i do hope the new brake calipers has improved its braking capabilities .

wat i understand that the disc barake is a bit smaller than de previous..not much of a difference.

 

reviews shows that its chasis is great.

and when u are on idling, it have an unique poping sound..

thats y the tester somehow got nervy at a start

Yes , onli the 07 model then have . The 06 model onli the limited edition have slipper clutch .

 

They have replaced the 4 piston calipers to a 6 piston calipers , so hope t see improvements on braking .

i think the performance of all the new bikes will be very close. To me at least, i would probably not notice the difference in performance. But looks wise, i think the R1 and CBR are better looking then the Ks and ZXs.

 

Was kinda considering the Blade before but after reading about the burnt starter coil among the local 06 Blade owners, I was a bit put off. But no doubt, its a sweet looking bike. Then I read about the TPS issue on the 04R1. I sure hope Yam fixed the bug for the 07R1.
