Hey bros, for those who are currently using K&N,BMC filters or having aftermarket exhaust system,I strongly urged that you guys go for AF retuning at Wing Yap motors or any authorize Yamaha dealers. This retuning will up the performance of your bike and optimizing all sectors especially fuel consumption.

 

I am using K&N with GPR full system exhaust and my mileage is superb after retuning. Before retuning, my mileage is very poor.

 

If u guys decide to go Wing Yap,seek for Jack at their Balestier Branch. Dont ask for any other mechanic cos only Jack knows the calibration of this AF.

Depending on the size,why not? However,changing chain must comes along with sprockets too!!

Bro Chiaph, FYI, our stock chain are much better until it degrade due to wear and tear. Otherwise,its as good as those high end o ring chains.

Just to share...

 

Our R15s are running on 4 stroke thus it is best to consistently and frequently change your Engine Oil. At a rate of once a month,it is most recommended!! The more synthetic it is,the better!!

 

Why?

Even the best full synthetic engine oil degrades rapidly inside a small,high rev engine housing like our R15 due to compression,pressure built up and heat. Not to mention the flow of oil which needs to lubricate our piston and block walls plus the inside gears and minions!!

Yup, used it before; specifically DID 428H Gold 132L, O-Ring Moto chain. Its always advised to change the sprocket along with the chain. O-Ring type of chain is more durable, can last over longer mileage and gets loose at a lesser rate as compared to a roller chain type.

120 is the largest we can go; any larger, the swing-arm has to be modified. For examples, look for forumer Mr Grumpy; his black R15 has a 120-wheel base. Or for an even better overview, come to our next meetup and you can see for yourself.

Agreed! Just to add on, even with the best high-end chain, it will not last long if we don't maintain it properly.

thanks for all the advise, i wash/clean my chain and spray it once every three weeks. it that good enough? and regarding what bro Ice says about changing of oil each month sound fierece to me and seems it's gonna tear/burn a deep hole in the pocket! no offence bro ice! ^^

You can feel the difference? I'm currently servicing national so my paid wouldn't be enough to change the oil so frequently. :'( that's why it's a biting hole.
