Cannot be brake pad leh.. Just gotten my bike a week ago... Now speedometer also screwed up

My dad says it's the brake pad been in contact with water and after it dry up, the slightly alignment is off. That's why it product the sound.

Anyway I had mine checked and the mechanic says it's alright. Nothing to worry about. Just ride still it's time to change the pad.

Where did this source come from?

I kinda google on the '11 R15 and it was said to be release 'mid-year' and it was to be release into the india market. India already had spy photos on it... Kinda hot if you went to look out for R15 '011

- bigger rear tyres

- split seat

- R6 inspired head design

- black fairing and casing of engine compartment.

I really wish Singapore will bring this in soon :(

Nah don't be sad bro, cause all of that is not true. :) The spy photo is actually an actual '08 R15 model taken in India, but modified to look more sportier than the stock one. As for that R6 lookalike photo above, it is simply a photoshopped picture, combining an actual R6 tail section of the bike with a so-called modified front section of R15. :) Therefore don't have to be sad la coz such a design is not the '11 R15 version..

I have doubts about this because the 'where is the r15 sticker' kept ringing in my head. Never mind, it will be a nice 'dream'. Was reading the older pages from here and all the complaints seems to attribute to the changes that the 'lie' had brought up. Haha! Hope yamaha will change something though.. I've seen the physical R15 and I think the front and rear really need fatter tyre.

confirm will be release???

@travi: hey! What are you getting the bike?

Went down to Hong Leong yesterday, and got my fairing fixed but the mechanic was kind of rough with his movement/tools resulting in some of my bike joint having abrasions and paint been scrap off… :’(

Just to share, I just ask my mech about open pod air filter for our bike, he say it will have too much air flow and thus the back combustion of the bike will be very loose. It won't be compact and thus lose power. Ours is 4 stroke bike and thus the spark bright out every 4 stroke a time. It isn't like 2 stroke. Our block and piston is too small to combust so much air.

One example is u blow into a 500ml bottle and 1.5l bottle. You would feel, there is more combustion returning in the 500ml bottle than the 1.5l bottle. 500ml bottle is like our closed pod air filter and 1.5l is like the open pod...

That is why, each time any other filter other than original is installed,AF tuning is required.

No offence but if our bike does not need so much air flow, personally I think is useless to install something to increase the airflow of the bike.. I think is up to

personal perspective:)
