It is really burnt smell, perhaps my engine really burnt or partially of the wire kena burnt... I am very worried...will it be excessive of engine brake usage that causes this burnt smell? And I did some search and come across this clutch burnt... could it be this?

 

The smell is due to the engine running in period,something like a new gadget from the stores!! however if u mentioned abt burnt wire,tat is something which u cant ignored. Do have it check cos burnt wires are dangerous.

It’s a shop that all bikers know as they supply lots and you can bargain for pricing. Nothing secretive lax that’s why brother grumpy say it is a shop that all bikers will know.

Another thing that I notice unusual is that my engine heats up really fast, and really hot... Perhaps this is what that contribute to the burnt smell... is this normal?

Yamaha engine is like tat...fkcing hot! I rode Honda and Kawasaki..they are much cooler!

Im delivering pizza with ybf125 and the engine is not that hot.

Hmmmm... maybe its the sports bike division of yamaha only? Or that im wearing long pants? Haaa!

I think it's pretty normal to have the engine heated up real fast and hot... It's probably due to the combustion that release the heat.

 

Thus giving you the formula of

3(O2) + C2H4 = 2(H2O) + 2(CO2)

Exothermal reaction.

Guys! I need help. When i throttle my bike, at gear 1 or 2, I can hear a rattling sound from my engine. Have u guys ever experienced this? i thought it might be the piston ring. Scares me at time. Help!

If at neutral is there the sound? Then try throttling at neutral... Slowly check if there are anything loose not.. Cos tat time there is also a rattling sound, then I found how was my Pillion stand loose, the sound come from the metal vibration there..

How was your throttle & clutch control like? Sometimes its because you are under-revving and realising clutch too early, thus causing little power to your engine, making it rattle..other than that, it could probably be something loose in there, but highly unlikely its the piston ring, unless the bike is a couple of years old or it got involved in a major accident before.. However if you're worried, can always get your mechanic to have a look at it.. :)
