hi! am new rider on the ever-amazing R1.. Currently riding an R1 '10.. Hoping to get to know more bikers thru this forum =P

Hi all, I'm looking for a class 2 bike and am deciding between the R1 09' and later and the CBR1000RR 09' and later. Could anyone please enlighten me on the differences between both bikes?

 

In specific, I would like to know the difference in the riding position and the low end power coming from the cross plane crank engine. I don't go to the tracks but may consider in the distant future so as of now I am interested only in the street performance aspect of the bike.

 

Eg. Pickup, comfort and general maintenance cost including the mileage per full tank. I think I can be considered as a heavy throttler as I'm only getting 200km per tank with my Spec III. I'm about 167m tall so I would like to know if it gets uncomfortable riding this.

read that an R1 rider was involved in the accident at PIE near eng neo exit earlier today.. the rider is believed to be a malay man in his 30s who passed away on the spot.. my deepest condolences to his family.. may god bless his soul.. ride safe guys..

a tragic accident has occured on PIE eng neo at 7am+. r1 crashed under a truck. 4-5 cars collided . lorry overturn. 3 / 4 lanes closed. massive pile up jam when on my way to home just now. the rider was coveted with white cloth. my condolences

 

ride safely guys.

it is very saddening to hear life is lost on traffic accidents.

stay vigilant on your surroundings and dont drink and ride!

i think its very difficult to define or explain what u are asking for as different ridders have different opinions towards the 2 bikes especially the riding position and the power.

well in that case maybe u should try selling me your R1 at a price of downpayment of $5/= monthly installment of $0.50 per month over a year then :lol: :lol: :lol:

hi guys, i'm currently looking to upgrade to a R1 very soon and would just like to ask a few questions and would really appreciate the help of you seniors :)

 

I saw an R1 '08 @ I-motoring yesterday. Full black, with Akra full-system and PC3. FBF plate 09 registered.. Was quoted 20.5k. Do you guys think it's a good deal?

 

My 2nd question would be where could I find a shop which deals more with selling class2 bikes? I've been around queensway, ubi, and kaki bukit area and there was only about 2 or 3 shops selling R1 '07 and above. I'm starting to think it's very hard to find.

 

Please do offer your advice. Thanks in advance!

back then, me n Lo-On was discussing that R1ders are born with metal balls which can withstand the heat....

but as u know metal are good conductor of heat :lol: :lol:
