I think this question very difficult to answer leh...

It all depends on the rider and his style & also the traffic that he's in.

I used to travel on highway 80%(90-100kph) + 20% city traffic, when my bike was brand new in '00, I can get around 400km then low fuel light turn on, reserve can roughly go another 30-50km varies.

My current bike can only go about 350km but I only ride like once/twice a mth & only short distance, so cannot compare.

Maybe some other guys can chip in & we can see what's the number like.

Cannot only depend on reserve light, you need to know what you usually get from full to reserve so you don't run dry, incase 1 day your reserve bulb blow or your fuel float fail. Don't ask me how come I know, you don't want to test pushing a ST for few hundred meter to a petrol kiosk, in heavy traffic, at noontime in JB :)

Owh ok thanks bro, I just bought 99 model bike. Previous owner said around 350kms reserve light ON. Anyway I will take serious attention to top up fuel early :)

You have your fuel gauge needle as a rough guide, so get familiar with your mileage first from your riding habit & regular route & then you can test with the reserve light mileage. But better to test in sg only :)

Have to take note that if you tour on NSH & doing higher speeds, then the mileage decrease & your tank dry up alot faster.

My 1st bike consistantly gets around 400km(~16+-17km/lit) till reserve comes on for 10yr, range is abt 450km till dry(I had bad experience before @2nd link testing my luck) current ride only does 350km(~15km/lit) range but I only did

Enjoy your ride.

Owh ok thanks bro:)

last time my needle in quarter and I pump full tank 17.2Ltrs and reset the trip meter to 0000. Currently I my trip meter reach 200, needle shows half. Later pump back to full tank same last time and calculate kilometers run and petrol consumption. Then can get roughly how much can run per litre :)

I just pump back 23litres for 293kms, roughly my bike run 12.7kms/1litres. I think my bike also 350kms full tank dry.

Bro,

I think you should try a few more ride sessions & see if it's consistent. I get around 350km on 23lit(~15km/lit). Full to empty for 350km is abit low unless you ride like a sports bike & jump start alot. I think avg full tank to empty should be able to hit ~400-430km +- abit, last time I ran dry accidentally I got around 410km.

Be careful you don't run dry too often though as it'll damage the fuel pump in the tank(costs $$$) :)

Will get the BMW Grips, i believe BMW Bikes has shifted from Bukit Timah to Alexandra now.

Saw the cupholder at LAB just now.

I asked for the GIVI 55 litre, was told that it costs $345.

Cheers!

YOu can get the E450, costs around $120 only.

Why do you need new windshield & seat?

Seat can always rewrap @Boonkeng/serangoon or shop near ah boy.

As for windshield, if it's not too badly scratched or deep scratch, you can always buy the plastic polish to try clear it. I can loan you my Novus plastic polish if you wana try, but I'll only be back sg mth end.

Oh! The windshield has clouded over time due to wear n tear.

LAB quoted 75 for a local product, original Honda is 300$.

Thanks bro on your offer for the polish. Perhaps, when u r back, we can have a gathering or sort.

As for the seat, wear n tear as well. Was asking around about (BSC)Bike Seat Condom.

Anyone did it and find it to be good? Fixed on my wave and i kinda like it.

But was told that mine was not orginal, got it at $20 though.

Will consider the E450 as the price is much more affordable. But tempted to get the biggest one, E55. Haha! Anyone fixed a big box on their ST and care to share?

Cheers!

Price for the E55 is reasonable. I used to buy the e52 at 300 so is ok. BMW grip also available at m-technic... Ermax or mra shield was quoted 280 at Motoworld. You might want to check with them. Taller than stock...

Just remembered that there is this Coocase 50 litre which can be opened up using remote!

Yet to decide which box to get though - to go for convenience, size or quality.

hi all bros.. anyone tried with and without top box at 120-160km/h ? any difference?

I didn't try it at that specific speed, but due to the heavy weight of the bike, it should not affect much in terms of stability.

Tried before at speed of 180km/h at NSH.

Without the box, the bike does feel slightly lighter.
