Ah Pek.... Got bad news. I'm into my 4th tank now with green oil. I managed to test with moderate riding last few days on 1 full tank (didn't have to whack the past few days cos just to and fro), my mileage from 400 before reserve (at its prime few months back), now 320 before reserve..

 

But the smoothness is better though.

Ver S is really sth.. 350km then reach reserve. Vtec used to be 325+/-.......

 

my verS reach 414 till reserve.. previous tank went up to 420+..

 

but i'm running on stock-sized tires, which is 110 front and 140 back, with 42-teeth rear sproket size..

Wah_Lau!...Green oil eat up your mileage rather then help huh?.. 400-km 320km = -80km :faint: Eh dey!...something is not right lah..anyone play with your trip meter or not or accidentally hit the dial while polishing your speedo cover?

 

I'm having quite mixed feed bacl leh..African Twin after two tank test got 1.2 km/liter increment and his XR200 got close to 1km/liter in his first tank... hmmmm...don't know what to say leh.

This is definitely nothing to do with Green Oil.

 

Btw..are you using JB petrol?

 

About your throttle cables..has it been done yet?

 

As for your clutch cable..can you tell me how far left for adjustment at the lower right hand bottom side?

 

Do me a favoable and help analyse the caused..

 

After this tank...don't use Green oil and see how mileage goes again.

 

When try with Green Oil again, use it with our petrol. Let me know..thanks!

Just for info before he reply you. Front is normally 15 for Vtec and non Vtec..and back is 42 for non vtec and great for normal ride run..better mileage. The pattern of the back sprocket is also different.

anyway, i'm using the original size, which means front 15, rear 42. using both original honda front n rear and japan heavy duty chain. tire wise is like what i've stated b4. i guess riding style n tire pressure plays a part too. i seldom rev above 4.5K and usually keeps my speed between 80-90km/h. my tire pressure is 225 front n 250 rear, using bridgestone bt45 tires.

 

if u tink mine is great, i believe someone can clock 440 b4 reserve..

Must deposit ah. not so soon ah. U call them ask how much custom made. its a little expensive. coz bring in one piece rather than in bulk. unless their can tag along the item in bulk.

I just got My CB400 VerS.

But there is a small problem.

When I rev to 5k RPM the bike is like not respond correctly.

It refuse to to goes up and slowly. once over 6kRPM then it got better.

I rode on the highway. The bike feel funny.

From move of to just before 5K RPM the bike sound ok and good, But once it hit 5K RPM the bike a bit jurking and not going up. when i reach the top Gear the bike is around 90-100km/hr:cry:

But when I still turn on the throttle. The bike dont not respond at all.

Drop Gear and pull but the max speed I gone up is 120km/Hr.

Kind of Slow for a CB400.

Very Sad and angry.

Is there anyone who know how can i solve this problem?

I wash the carb. Do servicing. Clean my K&N filter. Change the white card ( the control unit below the RPM meter) and the Speedo meter too.

Still face the same problem.

Please anyone that can Help...

Or know who can solve this problem.

Worst is the My full tank can only reach less then 200km.

the power i say is not fast.. is every gear u hear a drag sound then u change gear ma. 4.5k rpm like have to throttle more to get the bike up to change gear.. anyway i go to few bike shop to ask for 42 teeth rear spocket. most of them laugh or say 42 teeth is not for Ver S. Ver S is 44 or 45 teeth lei.. PB1 and Ver R then 42 teeth.. i also confuss liao. as can't change 42 to test..

ur carb wash liao got eletronice tune back? like KnT or some shop got use eletronice to tune it back. carb play a big part also. also most time engine oil not good may have this problem. i face same prolem as u when i just bought mine Ver S.. but solve liao when change to fully syn EO wash and tune carb change throttle cable... and yes lastly, collant also play a role. engine too hot also high FC. now i face one is mine 150 rear tire.. a bit sticky and big.. so FC high a bit:cry: but one thing here i think a bit siao. full tank less then 200.. WOW! drink water ah? worst then RVF..

best mileage achieved was on the 1st mix of 'mygreen'. got 23.5km/l

2nd tank i had 22.75km/l. based on same calculation of the topped up petrol divided by the kilometers travelled.

 

monitoring the 3rd tank of it now. =]
