[Group] Super Four Non-VTEC Family: PB1 VerR & VerS

My ride is S4 Version S. Currently my speedometer stopped functioning. As a result my milleage also not working. But Rpm is working fine. I also noticed when i accelerate my bike bike it has a choking sound. Sometimes okay sometimes not. But when its okay and if i'm riding at a cruising speed lets say 90km/h and if it goes over an uneven surface it will suddenly became choked again. And if it goes after another uneven surace it became okay again. It has happened randomly alot of times recently. Can anyone highlightened me on this issue what might be the problem?

Actually i dun wan magnetic tank bag. Becoz i like e tank bra feeling and also helps to keep e fuel tank color nice. ^^

and although i think bagster quality is good but no brand harness type quality is ok, y not. I personally ve experience a few of e "big names" brands where their items uses e same materials as another without brand name. E only reason these "big name" brandis expensive is becoz of e name.

Material, worksman is same. sad case for consumer.

I recommend bagster is bcoz to make it go with ur bagster tankbra.bagster tankbag clips are made for bagsters tankbra.therefore,its more secured and not flimsy to me. But again its up to individual preferance.

If there's other tankbags that has clips for the bagsters tankbra i wouldnt mind investing in it.

For myself,the branding us not important too...its the quality n afforablitly that turns me on...hehehehe...

Probably ur speedo cable has broke..just get it replaced. As for the choking..could be spark plug issue..when did u last changed it? Did u took off ur fuel tank lately before this problem occurred?

I recommend bagster is bcoz to make it go with ur bagster tankbra.bagster tankbag clips are made for bagsters tankbra.therefore,its more secured and not flimsy to me. But again its up to individual preferance.

Same same. Brand not important as long as quality is there. I am ok with harness/straps type. Dun ve to necessary use e clip type. Just need to spend a bit more effort to tie or ownself DIY a fastener. ^^

just tat tank bag bagster can be 160++. No brand type can be 60++ ._. and i dun think i will use alot which is y im not buying right away too.

Ah pek its been quite a long time since i changed spark plug. I will look into it. My tank was recently took off ard 2mths for servicing radiator n carburetor but all was okay after putting it back. Just only recently about a week ago it happens

Oo. Thought tankbra can just last forever. Lol. But it really helps to protect e paintwork.

My s4 ride 1 year and e black paint will slowly ve tiny white spots. Then fast forward 5 years e white spots become white patches.

u want cheap alternative, just send the tank only for a tank only paintwork. jb cheaper. will not cost above $100

i try find my tank bra. if still have. n look what happen over a period of 3 years. last owner did went thailand often too.

I asked bekuz sometime if the mech puts back the breather tube and when slightly kink..it can cause fuel starvation. Your case is that ur combustion chamber is being starve off fuel or spark plugs fouling due to aged useage. Again...its can oso be cause by a bad leaking vaccum tube from fuel tank to engine block.

Not too sure abt LAB. But i believe investing in te bagster tank bag to go along with a bagster tankbra is quite worth it lah...i've used the magnetics type but not so relaiable and also causes stains on the tanks.which is why i invested in the bagster clip type.been using it occasionally the past 3mths no complaints as of now.very satisfied with the investment.
Now no worries abt the bag falling off during rides or tank getting stained.
Even if u wanna fill petrol also not to much a hassle cos just nid to remove the front clips and u can raise the tank bag back to access ur fuel tank.if use magnetics type gotta remove the whole tank bag...

Use Super 99 leather care products...

3 bttls for $9.90

can use on any leather products 7 even car dashboard oso...

thus giving it mositure & oso making the product highly water resistance...

Juz spray on nia very easy...

Tank bra is a gd to have esp Bagster..

gt cuishion mah ard impt area...lol

Wnet Looi to hunt but they no have so sadz...haiz

ive gotten the tankbra with the bike.

already in faded colour

after some years of usage without taking care of it, it harded up. the stitching give way one after another.

just to point out tankbra do need care n leather polish. without care its the same with paintjob. it will gets dull and defects will come in.

The breather tube has been taken off a long time ago. So that one should be ruled out. I will ask the workshop to check about the leaking vaccum tube thingy. Thanks for the reply Ah pek. I need to equip myself with some info 1st before going workshop or else jialat kena chop here n there

hi guys i wanna know how long (time) or how far (mileage) can a normal chain and sprockets last? 20k?? 30k?? 1yr?? 2yrs?? last change was last yr May 18k km ago...mine working fine so far juz wanna have the general idea of their lifespan.

I check local supplier vs overseas...

Overseas is faster & cheaper slightly

Ordering for PB1 & Ver S aka all non Vtec models...

unless they using the same lah...lol

i will find out more info from my previous supplier... meanwhile do update in the below stated format if u keen...

been riding my version s for 4 mths and my meter is hitting 20k mileage pretty soon and im starting to wonder bout stuffs i need to replace hence my qns on maintenance intervals...here's a few more heh heh heh

1) air filter last change was god knows when...on k&n filter currently..

2) spark plug was changed about 8k km ago by previous owner just before i got my bike...not sure which type of spark plug im using at the moment..

so wat i wanna noe is how long (time) or how far (mileage) can the above mentioned items last before its due for change? bike so far serving me well except the fuel consumption very bad..
