i will be scrapping my bike when COE end and selling off the parts, but my COE is ending jan 2016 lol. meanwhile good luck searching for spare parts.

Recently, I had a few problems with my S4 Ver S. 1st, the electric starter wouldn't work anymore after some traveling. After pressing the

starter, I can only hear a click sound. Den later on at night, while riding home, the signal lights, brake lights, meter console lights, voltmeter and fuel gauge either wont work or turned off. But the bike is still working & running fine. Anyone what is the cause of this? Is it the fuse or something else? I still can use the bike but it's dangerous without any signals or brake lights.

 

Next is the coolant. After filling the coolant to full level, when riding for a while the whole coolant will leak at the bottom of the bike. I'm not sure

what is causing the leak. I've been riding without coolant for some time now. I need some help as I'm quite new to Super 4s.

 

Had an accident before. Replaced new battery last year Oct. Seldom ride the bike as using a Spark Z more often.

Hi guys, i juz found out that my coolant is leaking from the right side of my block... Was feeling uneasy the other day when my engine was hotter den usual... Check my reservoir and found it empty... Is this the first time it ever leaks?...from the hole..just coolant?..any oil stain? Have you done coolant sealant patching before?

Saw a clear blue liquid... I did a coolant change using ur coolant ahpek...

 

Subsequent checks have always been with dirt and grime, not sure if mixed with oil though... Coolant sealant patching not done before...

It would get worst eventually and best suggest u do a sealant patch rather than having to change block which can cause up to $1k for a secondhand unit. PM if u need any help.

HI I had the same issue, leaking from the right side also. my mechanic suggested machining and i tried it. the leaking has since stopped. cost me sgd500.

Guys, need help here for advice urgently..

 

yesterday travelling along CTE towards ang mo kio ave 3 exits, just right before the exit I got stopped by LTA officer. He took some photos of my bike and asks me to go to near by inspection centre by the time indicated on the letter, as I am wondering whats wrong with my bike and asks him he just told me my exhaust something wrong just ask me to go for inspection.

 

upon reaching the inspection centre at sim ming rd, the guys attended me told me that my extractor was not the right ones for this model (cb400sf non vtec) as the one currently install on my bike is a 4 - 1 type and the correct extractor should be 4 - 2 - 1 (my muffler is stock too). I am total stunned as it was stock exhaust as per previous owner of the bike claim, and he managed to pass the inspection with the "illegal" extractor without and problem. so assuming that certify by the authority so still can caught by LTA? I am required to change back to the stated extractor within one week and probably a fine by LTA impose lately.

 

Anyone with the stated extractor for sales can kindly PM me.

Left side of what?...hole...and "slight oil stain" as in fresh coming out or already black and looks damp.

If no coolant just oil stain snd no more leaking. .no worries lah but if ur oik chsnged intervals are long...make sure u check ur oil level.

need help..was riding just now,at the traffic light my bike stalled when in neutral but able to start with one crank..then I got into the expressway,engine was hotter than usual suddenly it stalled again when I'm at 100km\h..then when I try to start there was a loud backfire but able to ride again..what's is the possibility that my bike behave this way???

I just changed all my LED signal lights to filamen ones. But flashing rate is still the same i.e. faster than normal. I thought by changing bulbs flashing rate will slow down.

I found the bulbs does not light up fully when blinking hence not very visible on daylight.

 

The relay is Omron G8B-201-01 turn signal relay. I think this is stock relay.

I want flashing rate to slow down more so bulb has chance to light up fully. Any idea what else to check?

i went to the mototiam 'Hong Nan'. The shop is in lavender street. the block was removed and sent for machining. believe they build up and then machine it to remove the crack. took 3 days and cost 500 but he changed the gasket also and altogether came to around 750.

 

now, leak free.
