hi bro, u can aso opt for MOTOVATION balancers, $50. 2x the cost of hodaka, but those balancers does their jobs very well. U can refer to the motovation forum for info, really recommend those balancers.

Waterwetter is for putting in the coolant tank right? Ok where the heck is the coolant tank? Haha.. In the radiator? Is waterwetter better, or is engine ice more recommended?

Gonna get engine ice later on, weld up the internal part of my exhaust as its loose and prolly get a bottle of FP60. :cheeky:

hi bro,aft solving all ur problems,i advised u to use engine ice,i using it nw,although expensive but there is difference :thumb:

Thx Hondaman! I'll make a trip to Motoworld later.. By the way, where is it ah? Haha.. Hodaka balancers. And I have no idea how to check the coolant hose, radiator pump, thermostat? I don't even know where the coolant is stored! Is there a need to remove the fuel tank to check all these parts? :p

One more thing, when I let the handlebar go at about 60kmh, the bike is kinda like biased to the right. Like it keeps leaning to the right, so I have to lean my body to the left to keep it from falling to the right. Any idea why?

Motorworld Short Street is just opposite TEKKA MALL. if you go by TEKKA MALL, look on your left n will see it. then make a U-Turn.

Motovation balancers also good but the price only lah around 40+ like that. depend on you which one u want lor. :)

Coolant hose i think got 7 on CB400. Then Radiator Pump and Thermostat cannot say lah. as long as ur Radiator Fan ON while the heat is up that means its still good lor.

I think the problem ah will be either ur tyre, front fork. If tyres is a little worn out, that can be an unstability there. Also check the fork if its still good or the seal is broken.

I change a new tyre and can still hands off at 120km,90km & 50km. Maybe try to check lah ok. :thumb:

Too late for Motovation balancers! Took a trip to Motorworld and bought the Hodaka Balancers for $25. Each weighting a hefty 250g, putting my previous balancers to shame.

Went over to Unique Motorsports and put in Engine Ice. The previous coolant was flushed and damn was it brown! The mech say that one not coolant, its milo peng! Lol. They say rusty liao the previous coolant. They really flush the cooling system thoroughly man! Haha Hondaman, now I know where the coolant reservoir, hoses and radiator is. Also changed the radiator cap for $15.

Vibration's minimal at high speeds now, at low speeds can still feel a bit of vibration on the handlebar.

Now for the most important part. I need an Endcan! When I bought it from the previous owner, there's this irritating "zing" metallic sound coming from the exhaust when the RPM passes 3k. Previous owner mentioned that the mech at Unity informed him that all it takes is for the inside tube to be welded, costing $40 and that'd be it.

Took a trip to my personal mech at Alexandra and he told me its not possible to weld since the endcan is aluminium. A stock Honda system (yes its only a full system, they don't sell endcans, no?) would cost me $400!! Not believing him, I went over to Unity and asked them about the welding. They told me no such thing can be done, stock Honda exhaust system would be $500, so it'd be better if I bought an aftermarket endcan like Micron or Yoshi. Argghhh!!

Now, what are my options? Buy a Yoshi or Micron for $400 - $500? Buy a stock Honda exhaust system?

Or should I take a trip to the scrapyard and see what I can find? How much would the scrapyard sell a S4 Honda endcan? Can the stock VTEC endcans be fitted on the Ver S?

I still need to repaint my Ver S!! Arrrghhh!!

Front and back tyres are new Metzeler Sportec M1's 120/60 and 150/80 respectively, so can't be the tyres are worn unevenly. The fork is good, but there's some rust here and there, seal not broken. Tried it again and it still was biased to the right. Kept falling towards the right side whilst freehand. Any idea why?

Just to add, the Engine Ice makes the tank area near the groin heat up faster sia.. Compared to before the flushing. Is it because its dissipating heat more efficiently by absorbing it from the engine quickly?

Good for the engine, bad for my spermies. :cheeky:

By the way.. Sorry ah a lot of questions! There are a lot of rusty screws on my Ver S. Anywhere I can buy the full set of screws and nuts for my bike? I mean.. Bikeshops also do that right to make it look good.

Where can I find the screws and nuts? There's a particular length, shape, diameter and thread right. Don't tell me have to take out one by one and match it at the hardware store sia.. Any bike shops specialising in screws and nuts?

Bro, is it a water pump or coolant pump or radiator pump? There's a water reservoir within the S4 is it?

Do Pm me if ur keen. :thumb:

Seems that the problem is not with the end-can, but the header itself. Went to Regina to buy a fellow forumer's (STraTa) Honda full system, however the VTEC header can't fit onto my Ver S. So only the end-can was fixed.

The sound is still there. Damn it!

Switched back to my old end-can and thankfully, STraTa's an understanding chap! Header problem many many. How? Sigh.. Regina's mech said that it could be the silencer inside the header is detached.

hi guys, wanna find out which is the most accurate way to check oil level..

do u check ur oil level before u start your bike, after warming up, or after riding it?

when checking oil level, do u level your bike or just put to side stand?

thanks!

Oil level means Engine Oil right?

Hmmm...its been a while since I check my EO level. Due to the fact that I put Risers on my suspension thus the motor jack up so its hard to know its low or not for the EO. so I follow my mech advise. every 5000km or 2mths, change EO.

but it's good to check frequently..

our bike is old already, just like old ppl, need more routine checkup..

notice a sound coming fomr the engine area yesterday, to my surprise, the oil level is low.. lucky i detect early.. if not. . . . . .

true enuf, the 1st plug tat the mech took out is totally fried plug, it was changed two weeks ago. i've just changed the 4 plugs awhile ago at unique motorshop and the problem is still there. :(

but the mech said, "this a normal sound, ur muffler is clear of carbon since we last service ur carb last week. hence the sound" but the pick up, speed is not there anymore. i dun think tis is bcoz of the muffler and how a super4 should sound like. any idea guys? opinions and suggestions would be very appreciated.

when i pulled the throttle to pick up speed, the fuel meter goes down but when i go smooth on the throttle, the meter went up. and occasional soft backfire too. since i got my version-s, every week smelly smelly spend $300 on the average for repair.

as for the fuel meter it goes down when throttle to pick up speed & goes down when smooth throttle,it is normal, dun worry
