    • You wear the rain gear, your pillion can get wet

Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you'll be able to see farther.

You should definitely ride slower in the rain. Visibility is poorer, and brake distances are almost doubled. It would be much easier to stop when you're travelling slower.

2 choices for me if it rains.

Stop, park my bike wherever I may be & switch to a taxi OR

Carry on riding (I do not carry raincoats with me)

2 sets of raingear. so long as i feel that its safe to ride, wear raingear and carry on. if its those very heavy kind of rain. then stop somewhere sheltered, get a drink and wait for it to get lighter.

Got bike must ride!

i tried before cuaght in a freaking heavy rain on CTE.. suppose to exit AMKAVE 5 but forced to exit AMK AVE 1 .. after exit i keep left . i heard heavy choking sound, i start to shake my head. My caburetor has enough water to come to a stop at the road along Bishan Park. I have to push it to park at Bishan Park carpark. i took a cab home then collect my bike at night after the caburetor dried.

I wont ride in the rain but caught in the rain i will look for a place to stop. U never know u will find a new place to eat or chilled.

RIDE SAFE TODAY, FOR YOU CAN RIDE AGAIN TOMORROW.

my carb will flood too... just unscrew the drain screw and let the water flow out and you will be ok for a while longer!

i suggest you check your air box and filter...it is known that wet air can be sucked into your system.

.of course if you check on ahot and sunny day?? u will most probably see nothing..

check it out as soon as u reach your destination...maybe u can see something or feel something..

last night I was exiting KPE at about 7.30pm... and it was flooding... so I stopped at the exit shelter and hope to wait out the rain... but one hour later it hasn't decreased its strength... I had to go so I rode out... :dozed:

lol the last time i did that, never even put on rain gear, rain suddenly became heavy. got caught in a flood.

but water not too deep, engine didnt die, (brakes were pretty much ineffective already though) so keep going, keep going

reached home and want to park under my block, put my foot down on the wet tiles and slipped... luckily bike got top box, and the top box got caught on a void deck chair... so never drop bike

eventful day... :cheeky:

Wow this is serious and i thought riding in KPE while raining is best as there is shelter!

May i know how deep the water level is with relation to the front wheel so i can gauge when i should really stop and wait it out.

This is so true! I haven't been a PK for long but i did discover many new places which i normally will never have went.

I will explore the surrounding area while under shelter while waiting for the rain to stop. Will discover new makan places! :cheeky:

hahaha...all tunnels have been planned for this ....i used to work for a pump company...and for the cte project ..they bought a few of our largest pump...which happens to pump at a rate of more than 500 barrels /minute..

so no flooding..will happen ...unless the unexpected happens..
