Guys, my bike got kinda "lag" when moving off from stationary. Is it the carbs problem and need to clean/service is it?

 

Carbs balancing needed maybe?

Well, go find ah pek. His is cheaper and reviews are good. A couple of my friends are using his grounding. But just to let you know you can also get from bikeshops. Personally, I'm on Raizin voltage stabiliser plus grounding and I got it from Unique. I spent 138 altogether.

 

Sorry asking noob question here. Where can I contact this ah pek? I might want to install grounding.

Go to the non-vtec thread. He's very active there. But Right now he's away for holiday. Probably be back next week.

Eversuccess, FJT and Chong Aik are the places to go for OEM original parts. Just came back from getting a few stuffs from Eversuccess. Buy more got discount. :)

Hi bros. Was wondering, will it be cheaper to purchase our own carb rebuilding kits then sent to shop for fixing, tuning and balancing?

i dun know who is recom u to KnT but i don think cliford can do yr tuning as wat u wan ...i kena last time svs then upsize jet cos me $300 incl 4xcoupling,4x overflow jet...then the tuning result is stalling 7x abve at traffic light ..then go back to him n got treat like fool...then he say my engine need overhaul even in good condition ...i refuse to do bcos i know my eng i excellent cond..im a mechanic till now i nv tell knt bcos i dun wan any argument wif the boss Clifford..then u think again b4 u going thr...jux advice

i just came back from KNT. did my carburetor cleaning and tuning. cleaned my air filter as well. good service, bike feels much better and more responsive. clifford also highlighted a few parts of my bike that needs servicing which i will do in due time. will definitely return here again. total damage.. clean and tune carb plus replacing all four rubber hose connector to carb plus clean air filter $170. decent pricing.

Thrash? Don't mind if i do.

Happened to my previous spec 1 as well. Sent it for carb wash, changed the pins, and did a tuning. :)

If i'm not wrong bro, i spent 60 bucks to wash and tune the carbs. The pins cost about 20++ bucks each. Total 4 pins. Pardon me if i'm wrong, cuz it's been quite some time ago since i've rode my spec 1. :)

Eh, if you can find online the OEM rebuild kit I also thinking of doing the same. I'm starting to buy on my own the OEM parts and send to shop for their service.

I havent replaced my pins. 25 bucks each. Will do so when i do my valve clearance + clutch housing replacement + servicing front fork and rear susp to replace with hyperpro parts end of this year
