Hi guys,

I'm considering to upgrade to class 2 bike. So I'm wondering which 600cc sports bike will be better in terms of fuel comsumption and handling. And also the maintenance cost, insurance and road tax. Please advice me on which is better and which is not, because I'm only gonna use it as a transport bike. Wld prefer class 2 bike instead of class 2A bcos of the looks

I'd go for either one. More likely the green though, winner of the 2009 Supersport shootout. Awesome.

and the fuel consumption..?

anyways from ur choice i think for transport is usually cbr600 more suitable as an all rounder..

the r6 i notice need a lot of revs..

triumph daytona 675 if i were you..

but if you have only 3 of the above choices, den i think the cbr would be the logical choice. since u won't be using it round the track. the honda has a nice handling.

All 3 will suck at commuting. All 3 will be equally hot and uncomfortable. All 3 will give you back, neck, wrist pains. All 3 will need the same maintenance. All 3 will drink roughly the same amount of fuel. All 3 will have handling capabilities far exceeding skills of 99% of riders. All 3 will handle the same on our jammed packed roads.

Which one looks the best to you?

sportsbike as transport only? its fuel consumption is not practical for commuting purposes, no storage space too.

Maintenance much more costly too, tires, EO etc.

Bike always hot when stuck in jams or riding around town area.

Sitting posture is also one factor u need to consider.

If u got the cash to spare, go ahead for the sportsbike passion :)

y get a sportsbike when you dun bring it to track?

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

hmmm nice looking on the streets? Higher bhp?

Else TS can consider the new CBR600F basically its just CB600F in full fairing set... definitely friendly on the road with sleek aerodynamic looks.

I just wan more speed and looks. How abt gsxr 600?

All Class 2 bikes 4 cylinder bikes will break the speed limit in first gear. How much speed do you need?

Refer to my above post on GSXR600.

They are ALL THE SAME in terms of handling, maintenance, fuel consumption, if your primary intention is street use.

I used to ride R6 and currently CBR600. IMO if u merely use it for transport then go for CBR600 as have better FC and comfort riding posture as compare to R6. As for maintenance is about same :)

interesting.. but looks like its not about to have any fixed storage systems..

Make sense to some individual .

its up to individual.. but to me that's a waste..

Thanks for your advice, I'm also currently deciding between cbr600 and R6. Seems like cbr 600 machine price cheaper then R6.

Ya, but heard my friends say that it would be very hard to sell it.

Bcoz of the parts .... Well .. Honda would be the best options i guess.

All same. However, for street ergo on gsxr is the best, not so squeezy on the posture. R6 I feel is the most street unfriendly due to lack of torque down low and mid range. But goes crazy when rpm is high haha. Sportsbike may be impractical but fun. I say gsxr600!

Edit: sport bike are not impractical per say, they can still squeeze through traffic, cheaper than owning a car, parking is easy, good enough for me!
