Adding little 2T oil into fuel tank for 4-stroke bike and feel the smoothness

Its not as good as 4t. I tried it for a few weeks, it sticky when dried. However, it sticks all the road debris also. I guess its cleaner when its burned. Just get a can of chain lube is much cleaner and easier to apply. Note: the oils that we use might damage the O-rings on O-rings chain over time. Rubber plus oil = not so good right?

 

my experiences and many others are 100% opposite of yours..

 

high viscosity lube..the worse is grease..

the higher the viscosity ...the more it will stay on the chains...

such that it will pick up road grimes which will destroy your chains sooner rather than later...

 

ezzyoilers user in fact been recommeded to use 2t..precisely for their low viscosity...and the oiler is designed with this requirements as the more important conditions.

this low viscosity results that road gromes pick up by the lubricant...is easily thrown off the chain..and this will result in a clean chains...therby givng you the maximum extended chain life...i am sure you must know someone...or someone friends using the ezzyoilers..check with them..

 

2t oils becomes sticky...yes it does as it will solidify..into grease with time...this occurs as you have not lube the chains regularly..ie so that old oil is thrown off while the new oil replaces them,

insuficient lube is the cause..

 

oil behaves and deteoriates in this way..

 

from liquid...its is known as oil...and then thicker beoming grease..and finally into crud..and disintergrate into a black , sticky mess before becoming crud..

similar to your cooking oil ..in the liquid form and solid is known as fats..butter/magarine/lard falls into this category..

 

 

all rubber /plastic seals have this property of resistant to petroleum products as one of the major requirements..if not you will be replacing them frequently..

please take note greases and spray lube is also made from petroleum procducts...i am sure your o ring chains can withstand these petroleum froducts..2t and 4 t are petroleum products and in the same catergory..

I added Shell Advance VSX 2T in a ratio of 1 : 500 to my 14 year old steed 400(V-Twin)

 

Pros

Definitely smoother to cruise in a consistent speed.

Cold start ups are definitely better.

 

Cons

Smoother but less responsive maybe its just me.

 

Others

I would recommend this if you are on the highways most of the time or suffering from cold start syndrome.. hahaha.

2 stroke bikes are on the way out..as they are unfriendly to the environment...

why?..the 2t cannot be burned away into nothing...

obviously you havent heard of the theory that you cannot destroy anything ..they just change to another form..

as for in this case..carbon...all sorts and type..thats why they are so unfriendly to the environment..

the manufacturers have given up on improving the 2 stroker as they just too expensive to pass current emmission standards.

 

so here we have smart alecks giving you all sorts of reason why adding 2t in 4 stroke bike is so good..

 

now even claiming that it cleans the engine and burnt into ashless by products...these are just crap..if you ask me..

 

for those who dont understand the complexity of the combustion engines shouild go back to school..not taking internet chatter as the absolute truth..

so those who claims this 30km/l to 40km/l...you can believe all you want...you think a 2 cent 2t can achieve such marvelous results...the oil companies will be doing it..the bike mfg will be advising you to use it.

I would recommend this if you are on the highways most of the time or suffering from cold start syndrome.. hahaha.

 

Less responsive feeling could be due to quieter engine that not screaming so loud with respond to your throttle.

Take a bit more time to warm up, but once the engine's hot it's fine and smoother.

You have very little respect for other's thoughts and their good intention to share them. You don't observe forum etiquettes by selling your wares in 'discussion' threads whenever the opportunities arise. If I were to practise free expressions the way you do, I would call you an ****hole...........How about you just leaving this otherwise wonderful thread alone and let others share, discuss or disagree in a pleasant manner. Go squirt all you want, 2t oil or whatever you deem fit on your own chain if you feel frustrated having people around who are willing to re examine some of those facts that you are trying repeatedly to drip all over this thread. Someone just said that it is easy to state the facts and I couldn't agree more. That is what makes this topic here interesting and worth reading.

Alamak. Althou I don't agree with the concept (I am one that don't believe in adding 2t in fuel for 4t bike). everyone no need get so work up right?

 

everyone is free to believe what they want. They are also free to do what they want.

 

I feel lah. All just share their point and knowledge. And it's up to individual to accept or not accept.

 

Bike explode also like that. It's one's choice. We are old enough to make our own decision and be responsible for it.

 

Let keep it in sharing perspective and opinions. No need to get so work up right?
