correct me if im wrong but the max speed for running in is 140km/h.. can someone clarify for me...

Running in does not go by speed. It is more according to the RPM.

First 500km, do not exceed 3 rpm in all gears

Next 500km, do not exceed 4.5 Rpm

Next 1000km (not everyone do this), do not exceed 6 Rpm.

After 2000km running in, reach your firdt 299kmph.

From what i know running in is needed when you change to new piston and rings...The idea is to get the rings seated properly to avoid piston scuffing due to unseated rings..

Since you just change only the conrod and crankshaft bearings,i dont see the need of running in...You can whack the bike bro...hehehe!!

Hyperpro vs ohlins...of course lah ohlins syiok...Bling Bling factor and tuneability(can tune like siao but our front fork are not adjustable)...but i stick to hyperpro..within my budget range...less tunability(preload and rebound)...

Stock fork spring is gd enuf le...

unless gt budget... y not change the spring....

but since ours is nt adjustable... change spring is to make it stiffer or juz add stiffer oil using stock spring oso can...

or can get those valves kit fr k-tech to do those adjustable types but ain't cheap...

up to individual...

K lah dun say I'm the man lah... pai say leh....

Well as long i can assist, I will galdly assist mates...haha

Guys, when new bike are produced, they are tested at high revs in all gears before leaving the factory, its better to crack in the factory than with the customer. If the batch fails, they will stop the ongoing batch for inspection. Some sort like QC la.

So running in juz do gradually from 80 - 90 - 100 - 120 - 140 - 200 - 299.

Wahhh ..bro ... got to wait long - long for running in ahhhhh ....

Thank u all for the info about running in....But is it normal for BB to have rough vibration after overhaul?

The vibration is greater but of course the engine sound is more smoother.......changing gears is damn smooth.......

BB have one of the smoothest engines...you might want to check on you counterbalancer...maybe shop does'nt adjust it properly after overhauling the engine...

hmmmm...wad mean by counterbalancer?

In our bb engine there is a two counterbalancer...Its purpose is reduce vibrations from the engine's crankshaft movement....

Here's someting to read on twin counterbalancer...

http://www.autozine.org/technical_school/engine/smooth2.htm

And on the service manual of our bb(for FI models) there is a guide for adjusting the counterbalancer backlash page 12-22 to 12-23...You might want to print this out and show it to the mechanic that does your bike...Hopefully all they need is just to adjust the backlash to specs...

The FU plate at Teo Spray has a long history.. It belongs to our BB Thead Starter R1szuan, and then bought by Wallaby and sold off to Bluewitch's friend.. Now I wonder who is going to take over that bike...
