u can also try Motul 300v. its double ester. a very smooth oil. i've got a friend who tried on his silverwing before. he says its very good and smooth. but pls read up your engine oil spec to see if this oil suits your engine.

Just went JB on friday night to change engine oil (2 litre correct for SW?) ,i used Castrol 4T..semi syth.. Any comment and advise?

Massive jam at woodland check point around 10 pm... Why the custom only used one lane for motobike? Pity those malaysian bikers have to suffer and endure the jam everyday!

Left JB about 1 am after supper and top up petrol full tank RM 22.50 for gold 97 about RM1.97.. Want to find out any 24 hr supermarket in JB? Giant or Carefour? want to buy baby diapers..

Lucky no jam when enter singapore at about 130am..

When is the best timing to enter JB and leaving JB without massive jam using woodland checkpoint?:cheeky:

Now: Silver Wing GT 400

2s: paggio hexagon 150, Honda helix 250, yamaha majesty250, Honda forza 250, paggio x9 500,Silverwing 400 JDM,Silverwing 400 euro, Silverwing GT400.

Hi guys.. I've very recently fallen in love with a silverwing and plan to get one soon.. I know you guys probably answered these questions lots of times and I'm sorry to ask again instead of searching for them.. I tried but never really gotten the right results.. so here I go..

1) Is the 25km/L FC really possible for this bike?

25km/h is what I have achieved consistently :p

2) How many bottles of engine oil per change and how many spark plugs needed?

3) roughly how big is the under seat storage space? can fit two open faced helmets?

Enough for 2 FF helmets:)

4)Boon Siew website says the tank can hold 16L of fuel.. Is that inclusive of reserve?

5)Rear tyre with single or dual suspension? (i didn't really check that time.. Dun want to eyeball the bike so openly :cheeky: )

Dual suspension :p

6)Are accessories readily available in Singapore?

Not much as the performance is relatively good already (400cc scooter perspective). U can however add things like storage box, balancers, change windscreen, plugs, air filter... standard mod lah.... o_O

Thanks in advanced for your answers!

Really sorry to have to ask...

Please read the reply above.... :)

师兄师姐's, I wanna do some basic mods for my coming SWing like,

1) Top-box

2) Install Hazard Light

Where do I go to? I heard Ah Boy there can do all these... :p

Secondly, are there anything else that I can do or add to enhance my bike? I heard there are grounding and other stuffs that I can do... Can advise on the choices I have?

Thirdly, is bike cover necessary? I used to cruise around Bishan area while patrolling but never see much SWings around. So I assume they are all covered. Any reasons (assuming again, that my assumption is true) for covering the bike? Protection and stuffs? :cheeky:

top boxes... are easily available from most shops, where to depends on what make/model and size, including the size of your budget. checkout HKL's webbie if you're looking for Givi boxes

hazard light... i did mine at tai hin for $15, future scootering charges $35. what's diff between the two? different type of switch

what to enhance bike? apart from the 2 above, i can easily think of many... depends on how deep is your pocket bro :D

+ electric or air horn (life saving)

+ steel braided brake hose (more sensitive braking)

+ PA2 (preserve batt, smoother engine, better fc)

+ grounding (preserve batt, smoother engine)

+ PA ignite (more torque)

+ iridium spark plugs (more torque)

+ spark plug wires (more torque)

+ rollers & multivar (low/high end performance)

+ balancers (less vibration)

+ grip (friction & comfort)

+ HID kit (brighter whiter)

+ 1-way or 2-way or disc lock alarm (security)

+ voltmeter (monitor batt)

+ headlight protector (preserve headlight)

+ spot lights (safety in the dark, illegal in sinkapor)

+ bigger/wider wind shield (more comfort)

+ bike seat cover (comfort & design)

+ IU cover/jacket (looks only)

+ stereo system (entertainment)

+ + + + + + many many $$$

your owner's manual should be stating 10w40. but in singapore, many use 15w50. cos of our weather. to me, if follow owners manual to use 10w40, the oil breaks down at abt 2500km to 3000km. so i rather stick to 15w50. but like i've said before, best to check your service manual (if u able to get one) wat rating of oil is suitable for your bike.

owner's manual states 10W30 to 10W40

but read many posts claiming 50 is better in our climate :p

thanks for the fast reply!

So 16L of petrol, mentioned by boon siew, is inclusive of reserve is it? And where is the fuel tank cap? :cheeky:

Where do you guys put the speakers on the SW 400?

thanks again!

Nothing in the world compares to the feeling of raw power between your legs..... well, except maybe a pint of cold Coke.....

Yes. Its inclusive of reserve. The fuel tank cap is located in between your legs when you're on your bike.

To me, dun waste time. Use a MP3 player & a good in-ear headphones instead.

thanks again!

Its not legal. Unless it comes stock with the vehicle. Eg; Lexus

+ bigger/wider wind shield (more comfort) - where to get and price ?

Go to Motoworld. Brand of windshield is Ermax. Check it out on their website http://www.ermax.fr/accueil-EN.html
