for motoworld helmets... note that their HJC, Shark, Roll Bahn are not PSB certified

http://www.motoworld.com.sg/thumbnail.php?act_id=1&cat_id=1

i was there few days ago and the only helmets that caught my eyes are:

Yamaha-Roll Bahn YF-5 http://www.motoworld.com.sg/products/108/medium.jpg?rand=43263506

HJC Lordship http://www.motoworld.com.sg/products/2/medium.jpg?rand=21962672

Hi Guys !! Long Time did not read the thread ! I was wondering on the subject of helmets - Anyone got ideas on brand / cost of a helmet with built in speakers and BLUETOOTH compatible for MP3 or MP4 music player ? Any available locally. I seem to be on the road for a few hours each day in Mal on my SW and need something to keep me awake.

can use AD2P stereo BT headsets/earphones :thumb: ... buy from Sim Lim

suggest use the clip-on type coz the answering button can be clipped onto the helmet's chin-strap, otherwise need auto answering mode. one setback is, the earphones tends to come drop off the ear while putting on the helmet... needs some technique to keep them in place

In the end, I have to pay ~$300 just to get back my bike even though it is not my fault!

Too tedious to go CASE but this will be my first and last time dealing with them.

I would like to apologies to Bike Production Pte Ltd for the accusation and will not repeat this again.

talked to a silverwing rider (FBC plate) at management house SIM this afternoon.. if you are that rider reading this, nice talking to you..

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

kopi... can, as long as timing can fit

flip-up FF below 150... MHR $130 (299, chiap lee), zeus flip-up $150 (LAB)

i'm using the zeus, quite comfortable and smaller shell than the mhr (doesn't make me look like alien), but the visor becomes loose quite often coz i open/close very often. original visor costs $25, ah boy say no chiong ones

many pp say the mhr is brother of rjays (from same factory) as they both look so much alike, even the big shell. quite difficult to put on (narrow chin area opening), but quite very comfortable after put on. didn't like the BIG shell

note: flip-ups are usually bigger than normal FF

I went to the shop beside B.P (Chiap Lee) I think... The MHR FF Flip-up is $150 leh... So ex sia... I've tried it on... L and XL like not much diff leh... :sian:

My specs still difficult to fit (though I know its normal)... So now got second thoughts about buy FF helmet leh... o_O

FF Flip-up helmet really looked bigger leh... A bit like alien... :cheeky:

heard that chiap lee is the distributor for mhr but interestly, their prices are higher than outside. i bought my mhr $10 cheaper at 219.

FF is better n safer... but i also got a mhr OF for my pillion :p

Wait wait... Why a change in rev sound? Wat mod was done?

one has the transmission assembly cover open... of course louder and noisier :)

Err, i lazy to find... Where's LAB?

kelantan lane, you won't miss LAB once you turn into that lane... so many pp and bikes there :p see below...

Take Lavender Street till you meet Jalan Besar. Follow through, by keeping on your left. Go on till you see Kelantan lane, though you would not miss the sign board LIM AH BOY and helmets out of the shop. The building is just before reaching the flea market.

Don't worry, you won't miss it

Advice?

not advisable... personally, i think the benefit claims for hard break-in are only myths, at least there's no hard data to support them.

some info from threads/posts that useful:

What is running in?

New Engine/Rebuilt Engine Break In Procedure

Run it Hard

What exactly is clearing carbon?

Thanks Scooby !! - But actually my post said BUILT IN SPEAKERS - I heard from a Gelira Runner Rider whilst queing at 2nd Link that some FF helmets can be purchased with these features already built in. BTW the ear plug thingies dont work for all people and tends to cut off all other sounds like behind car horning !!

So any one got any ideas or know of a shop selling ?
