After playing Soccer at Turf Club, saw fuel light came on, went to pump oil at the Shell right outside the Turf Club. After pump oil, looked up saw pump number 5 so walked towards cashier. In front of me was a middle age Chinese guy in business wear, long sleeves. When it came to my turn, I told the cashier, pump 5. She without checking, blatantly told me that it's already paid and said I was lying, claim that I should be paying for pump 6 since there's a BMW parked there and it cost 120bucks. Mind you, I was in my riding jacket, full face helmet as I never had the habit of removing them when pumping oil.

I took off my helmet and told her off, can't she even see that I'm in my riding gears and which idiot will drive a car wearing a riding jacket and full face helmet. At this moment, I turned and saw the business fellow drove away in his BMW. Then the cashier made a big fuss and insisted that I pay for that 120bucks. I was so pissed off that I demanded to see the supervisor. At the same time, told the cashier to allow other motorist pay first. She simply just say they can wait. :faint: So when the supervisor came, she took the case seriously and told me to pay for the pump 5 instead. By then it was about half an hour there already.

I jokingly told her that since that stupid business fellow paid for pump 5 then I pay for what? I could simply just ride off without having to make any payment. :cheeky:

This ain't the first time that I experienced these stupid drivers try to pay off their car petrol through our bike pump number. Bloody cheapskates. So guys, be cautious as sometimes the cashiers can be ignorant too.

Ever got happen to me before. I think it was a lorry guy. But yeah, after i pointed out the mistake, then she called out to the man, and everything was settled there and then.

Lucky the cashier was a local Singaporean.

Sometimes i also don't blame the person who 'accidentally' said the wrong pump number. I see many times, people just pay with credit card, dont even bother to see how much it is and all. In my opinion, the cashier is to be blamed, as he or she should check whether is that really the guys pump or not. But even so, the problem still lies within the system, but if management needs to blame someone, the cashier is the best and most convenient person to blame in this situation.

The differences will have to be paid by the cashiers. Thats the rule at the petrol stations. They ganna a lot from petrol cheats, who left the scenes after pumping petrols.

If the person paid for the wrong petrol pump, using a credit card. The petrol station can still call the driver and inform him, and then do up another transaction.

I know the cashier is not free to monitor everyone. Its what management would point the blame on.

i ever thought of drivers who try this stun, very poor one, no money pump, park car but got money to buy car!!! Debt slaves. Luckily my madass max only $7 each time, no driver can get away with piggy back my that small bike. But when my tourer, $30 each time, thats where i choose to pump nearest to the cashier, right in front of their face, and my bike in plain sight. Always note ur fuel amt, the cashier will read to u your full price before and after discount.

Same, i have a habit of still wearing my riding jacket and helmet when pumping petrol and walking to pay for it.. Usually cashiers will look out of the window and ask for the pump.. That cashier must be too lazy to even bother checking the pumps..

First time i heard this too.. Quite interesting.. If i were there, i would be screaming at that cashier already.

I thought they have cameras that monitor pump stations, can check the BMW's plate then make police report lor.

My same thoughts exactly. That driver is a real preek cos he should know his full tank isnt just 20 bucks.
